Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment procedures:

SCP-xxxx is not to be played, or otherwise interacted with unless direct permission is given by an onsite supervisor. SCP-XXXX is contained in storage unit-XXXX, which is only accessible during a scheduled assessment of effects. All subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX's effects are to be questioned immediately and issued class-A amnestics.

SCP-XXXX is a Martin acoustic guitar, constructed of materials such as spruce and mahogany. SCP-xxxx, for its age, is in near-perfect condition, aside from a scratch on the body below the soundhole. SCP-XXXX is signed by an unknown individual, whose signature cannot be deciphered, suggesting that it may either not be a signature, or was hastily written.

Subjects who attempts to play SCP-XXXX will immediately inherit the memories of a Russain immigrant named ███████ Sokolov, and exhibit an extensive knowledge of important events throughout Sokolov's life, such as romantic, stressful, and joyful experiences.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects were reported after Mr. Sokolov's grandson Vadim inherited SCP-XXXX following ███████'s death in ████. Vadim, despite having almost no relationship with his grandfather, claimed that he could recite every critical event from his grandfather's life, and even claimed to witness his own birth. Vadim's experience was not considered alarming until at least three separate individuals confirmed that they could recount these same experiences, and described events consistent with both recorded information and Vadim's reported memories. Perhaps more strikingly, all three parties claim to have interacted with SCP-XXXX before Vadim presented his claims, and were placed in foundation custody before being issued amnestics, along with Vadim himself. Further Class-D testing validated an SCP classification.
