SCP-2165

Item #: SCP-2165

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2165 is to be kept in a storage locker with minimal security. It has been deemed harmless, save for any misuse.

Description: SCP-2165 is a set of (6) Aerosol cans. These cans have no real distinguishing features. They are silver cans with a red, wide spray tip. The bottom of these cans are all stamped with the text, "Dr. Wondertainment's Forever Fire", along with several numbers.

The gas within, known as SCP-2165-1, is a accelerant, that when introduced to heat will create a self-sustaining flame. SCP-2165-1 appears to release a hydrocarbon mix when introduced to heat, allowing the fire to burn, which in turn, releases more hydrocarbons.

These spray cans were apprehended from a 15 year old at his school. The cop, one of the foundations field agents thought the boy was getting ready to spray paint upon apprehending him before checking the cans. Once he saw the name, he called in. Containment crews came, scrubbed the exterior, questioned the boy who claimed "I just really wanted that fucker to burn", and gave out amnesics to all bystanders.

SCP-2165-1 has been tested with several fires throughout the world. It's chemical composition is unknown but it is a near match of the gas found at The Gates Of Hell in Turkmenistan. The Chimaera Flames in Olympos, Turkey, also has a less refined version of this gas.

__Test A - Date 4/██/█6 - D class employee D-██05 enters a contained room and takes a 4 inch by 4 inch piece of scrap steel and applies a small amount of SCP-2165-1 before igniting with a standard ███ lighter. Flame remains for two days, not spreading. D-██05 is commanded to flip the piece of metal. Once the metal is overturned the flame dies out. when flipped back over the flame restarts without outside intervention. Flame remains throughout several attempts to put it out. Employee D-██05 comes into contact with fire. Room was sealed and deprived of oxygen. D-██05 died of severe burns to his body. The body was never recovered. The fire remains in a sealed room of Site ██, along with the body. SCP-2165 was retrieved

__Test B - Date 5/█/█6 - D-██21 ordered to spray for one second into the air, then light his ██████ lighter. No ignition. SCP-2165 appears to need contact with something.

__Test C - Date 5/█/█6 - D-██21 ordered to spray until the can was empty. D-██21 continued spraying for a full 20 minutes before commenting "It's just as heavy." How SCP-2165 refills itself is unknown.

__Test D - Date 5/█/█6 - D-██21 ordered to light his lighter [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-2165 is protected from flames, not igniting or exploding. After four days the fire ceases. D-██21 was ashes upon recovery

__Test E - Date 6/█/█6 - D-██83 ordered to spray into the air similarly. D-██83 was told to put SCP-2165 through a small sliding door, putting it outside of the testing room. D-██83 is directed to light her lighter [DATA EXPUNGED]. Fire still continues
