Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Keter

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX shall be contained in standard high-security Foundation large-item storage.
Testing involving SCP-XXXX requires the approval of at least two Level 3 personnel.
To discourage casual testing, SCP-XXXX has been rendered inoperable by draining its fuel tank and removing the engine spark plugs.

Following testing with D-3726, the vehicle is now inoperable.

Individuals who operate SCP-XXXX and are affected by its anomalous properties shall be prohibited from adopting children under the age of 18 years.

Containment of SCP-XXXX-3 instances is a Montauk-class procedure, as they are under 18 years of age.

SCP-XXXX is a 1995 Subaru Legacy Outback station wagon, VIN 4S███████████████, recovered from its owner under the guise of a private-party sale on ██/██/1997. A Foundation source inside Fuji Heavy Industries1 has confirmed that SCP-XXXX is a normal production vehicle, and was delivered to a dealer in █████, Oregon for sale.

SCP-XXXX bears no external or mechanical differentiation from any other contemporary Subaru product. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties only present with its original keys: copied keys do not cause anomalous behavior, nor does a similar Subaru vehicle keyed to accept SCP-XXXX's key. Replacing parts of SCP-XXXX does not neutralize its effects, nor does removing removing parts of SCP-XXXX and installing them into a similar vehicle.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects only present when it is driven by a homosexual woman23 who is not in a romantic relationship, and is actively looking for one. Operation of SCP-XXXX by a man will cause a mechanical failure within 10 seconds of the engine starting.
SCP-XXXX must be driven for at least 100 minutes without stopping for its anomalous properties to become apparent.

When operated within the activation parameters, the operator will, within a period observed to be between 24 and 240 hours, come into contact with an individual through seemingly normal circumstances4. This individual, designated SCP-XXXX-1, will always be a woman with a given name referencing a star5, residing within 100km of where SCP-XXXX operation started or ceased.

SCP-XXXX-1 is not created by SCP-XXXX. Testing has revealed that if a woman meeting the parameters of SCP-XXXX-1 does not exist in the established radius, or if contact is made impossible, the anomalous effect does not occur. SCP-XXXX-1 is completely unaware of SCP-XXXX's effect, which does not induce a compulsion in SCP-XXXX-1.

Upon meeting SCP-XXXX-1, the operator will, within a median timeframe of 100 days, become romantically involved with SCP-XXXX-1. The relationship is described by both parties to be strong, healthy, and deeply fulfilling, and in 100% of observed instances results in marriage and the adoption of several (median: 3) children. The married couple is designated SCP-XXXX-2. The adopted children are designated SCP-XXXX-3.

SCP-XXXX-3 instances that are adopted before the age of 18 will, in an unknown timeframe, become infertile and exclusively homosexual. Transferring legal custody to an unaffected adult and administering Class-A amnestics will reverse these effects.

SCP-XXXX-3 instances that enter into a relationship will adopt several children, who will also become SCP-XXXX-3 instances. The method by which this perpetuates is unknown, and the potential for logarithmic growth of the number of SCP-XXXX-3 instances presents a clear risk of SK-class and EK-class scenarios.

Addendum XXXX-1: Following the observation of new anomalous behaviors, SCP-XXXX has been reclassified as Keter.
