SCP-8131

Item #: SCP-8131
Alias: The Fear Vampire
Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-8131 is to be placed in the equivalent of a "Solitary Confinement" cell found in most prisons. The contents of the cell are to only include one (1) bed with leather straps including one for the head and one (1) table. All personnel entering the cell are to be accompanied by at least two others. All personnel are to be armed with a tactical flashlight with a strobe function.

When entering the cell around meal times, personnel are required to secure the specimen using the bed straps and then blindfold the subject. Absolutely no eye contact is to be made at anytime during this process.

Should SCP-8131 initiate an attack on personnel, the accompanying personnel are to use the strobe function of their tactical flashlights to disorient and stun the specimen. One staff member is to continue the assault and the other is to escort the victim of the attack out of the cell. Any victims of an attack from SCP-8131 are immediately classified as Class E.

Description:

SCP-8131 takes the form of a humanoid female however the appearance changes each time SCP-8131 is observed visually. Continuous camera feeds reveal such a change to be instantaneous. The only constant in SCP-8131's appearance is black pupil, iris, and sclera.

SCP-8131 has one primary method of attack although it should be noted SCP-8131 has often used crude hand-to-hand techniques to defend itself (See Iterview 8131-1 for further details on SCP-8131 attacks). SCP-8131 causes general anxiety and nervousness to personell within 20 meters of it. If eye contact with the entity is made, SCP-8131 can initate a telepathic link to the subject. Through this link it may communicate but also initate an attack.

Subject's under attack are overcome with extreme fear and have reported seeing SCP-8131 morphing into a form described as [DATA EXPUNGED]. Subjects who have been rescued from attack exhibit severe anxiety and paranoia for several days.

Those who are not rescued fall unconcious and SCP-8131 will then cease all interest in them. These subjects have become devoid of all emotion upon awakening and so far no cure for this effect has been discovered.

Addendum: It should be noted that SCP-8131 can subsist on human food however it prefers "fear".

Interview 8131-1
Interviewer: Dr. █████ ██████
Interviewed: SCP 8131-1
Foreword: SCP-8131-1 suffered a full attack from SCP-8131 during acquisition of SCP-8131. SCP 8131-1 was brought back to Site█ to determine affects of SCP-8131 attacks.

<Begin Log>

SCP-8131-1: <upon awakening is silent and wordlessly sits up>

Interviewer: SCP-8131-1 can you hear me?

SCP 8131-1:<no inflection in voice. continues for rest of interview> yes. I can hear you.

Interviewer: Do you remember anything?

SCP-8131: I remember everything.

Interviewer: Can you state your name?

SCP-8131-1: Agent Amanda Gooding.

Interviewer: Can you deliver a mission report of your last assignment?

SCP-8131-1: Yes. Embedded Agent [DATA REDACTED] called in with a report of suspicious
occurrences. The Foundation was not completely convinced that this was worthy of it's attention as
Embedded Agent [DATA REDACTED]'s report was unclear. I was sent in. After debriefing the Embedded Agent, I conducted my own investigation and found the coffin containing SCP-8131.

Following Protocol I called it in and awaited the Mobile Task Force to arrive. When it did, I was ordered back to Site █. However, my curiosity got the better of me and I secretly followed the Containment specialists.

Interviewer: And when the coffin was opened? What happened then?

SCP-8131-1: SCP-8131 left the coffin rapidly. It looked like a [DATA EXPUNGED] but very quickly took on a form resembling the embedded agent. It looked around quickly and then managed to see me looking at it. I could feel our minds connect.

Interviewer: Did it say anything to you?

SCP-8131-1: While the containment specialist addressed it and our minds connected it said only one word.

Interviewer: What was the word?

SCP-8131-1: Hungry.

Interviewer: I see. What happened then?

SCP-8131-1:….I became afraid. Not just afraid. Terrified. I couldn't move.

<SCP-8131-1's breathing increased and began to speak faster but no emotional inflection occurred>

SCP-8131-1:Then I could feel it in my mind. It was digging deeper into my fear and it was…consuming it. It hurt.

Interviewer: I see. On-site personnel reported that you screamed in terror.

SCP-8131-1:…I do not remember screaming. There was only fear and pain. But I could understand what it was doing.

Interviewer: What was it doing?

SCP-8131-1: Whatever it is, it feeds on fear. It…eats fear. Through the mind.

Interviewer: Are you aware that you have not displayed any emotion during this interview?

SCP-8131-1: I am aware. I no longer feel.
