Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard containment cell at Site-██. SCP-XXXX is to be positioned facing the window of its containment cell. An automatic recording software will capture any SCP-XXXX events should no personnel be present to witness the phenomena. Requests to bring SCP-XXXX out of its containment cell must be cleared with Head Researcher █████.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a detailed sculpture of a human head. While it appears to be made of marble, the sculpture is actually partially malleable and can be re-sculpted and manipulated like clay, although it can never be re sculpted into something other than a human head. SCP-XXXX's physical appearance has not to date affected the contents of SCP-XXXX events in any meaningful manner. SCP-XXXX may occasionally re-sculpt itself in response to an SCP-XXXX event, and as of the 325th event SCP-XXXX resembles a young adult woman with tears running down its face.

SCP-XXXX events occur at 12:00 every day. These events alter the appearance of whichever room SCP-XXXX is currently contained in, however this change is only temporary. The walls and ceiling of the original room are either extended or removed entirely. The appearance of the floor may be altered, but will remain solid. Viewers are free to move around in this altered space, and are returned to their original position when the event ends. Tests done with tracking devices show that viewers' positions do not actually change during the manifestation. Additionally, sound produced by anything other than a human being or SCP-XXXX is muted for the duration of the event.

Once the SCP-XXXX event has been recorded or witnessed for 50 minutes the room will regain its original state. An SCP-XXXX event will not end until it has been viewed, uninterrupted, for a total of 50 minutes. These instances will almost always have some form of ambient noise1 in the background. The source of these sounds appears to be SCP-XXXX, although it is unknown at this time how SCP-XXXX produces these sounds. SCP-XXXX events can vary greatly in appearance2 Entities in SCP-XXXX events will never look directly at the viewer.

If SCP-XXXX has been made to face the same subject matter five times, subsequent events following the fifth will take on a grainy appearance not unlike television static and will be devoid of all sound. These changes will persist until SCP-XXXX is made to face a new subject. This effect has yet to manifest when SCP-XXXX is facing its cell window.

It is unknown at this time if SCP-XXXX is sentient.
