Liquid Slug
rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a large, watertight room with circular walls made of rust resistant materials. No electronic devices are to be put near the contained area unless water resistant, nor are any liquid-absorbing materials. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in site 66 unless stated otherwise. The room is to be kept at 5° Celsius to ensure dew doesn't arise stemming from condensation.

Any personnel coming in physical contact with SCP-XXXX must wear watertight suits coated in an oil-based hydrophobic at all times within the containment area to eliminate any possibility of parasitism. Any subject vacating the area must take off the suit in the dehumidifying room and be quarantined immediately; the same procedures are to be applied to any inanimate objects.

SCP-XXXX is to be fed twice a day, its primary diet consisting of dried meats and fruits. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX must not come into contact with copious quantities of foreign liquids unless stated otherwise.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a translucent mollusk-like creature made primarily of Non-Newtonian fluids held together by a thin membrane. The organism has the anatomy of a slug, differentiating itself primarily by possessing no ocular functions; still possessing, however, optical tentacles. These tentacles are believed to be used to track sound waves by means of echolocation since no auditory meatus have been discovered. Further evidence for this includes clicking noises ranging from 180,000 to 260,000 Hertz given off by SCP-XXX. SCP-XXXX's long, stout body is approximately 152 centimeters in length and two feet 61 centimeters in diameter. Despite its translucent qualities, no organs are observable within the creature's translucent body besides its epithelium and web of neurons.

SCP-XXXX has certain physiological properties giving it substantial control over the majority of its biomass, even going so far as to excrete varying quantities of the creature's body and into foreign environments. Once expelled from the organism's body, the fluid may move on its own, often strategizing ways of attachment onto personal, which will result in a repeat of incident █-██.

SCP-XXXX's behavior proves sentient, often displaying intelligence to that of a child. However, it contains little neurological makeup. SCP-XXXX is quite docile, only showing hostility when exposed to foreign liquids. The exact reason for this is unknown, but it is presumed that the foreign substance may alter the organism's biochemical makeup, since highly immiscible and hydrophobic materials seem to cause a less severe reaction.

All research of SCP-XXXX is supervised by Dr. O ██████ unless stated.

As of █/██/████ no further experimentation have been conducted.
