Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 20x20m room, with a row of blunted steel spikes 12 cm in length, located 7 cm off the floor.

SCP-XXXX is also allowed to roam with escort in certain designated "safe" areas of Facility ██████. If SCP-XXXX is found outside of containment without escort, contact security and attempt to engage it in conversation or activity until a security personnel arrives. If SCP-XXXX is found outside of its designated areas, contact security and attempt to coax SCP-XXXX back into the nearest designated "safe" area. If possible, identify SCP-XXXX's point of ingress and contact building maintenance so they may replace the door.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a wheeled mechanical construct built within standards of a North American middleweight combat robot. The primary chassis is a triangular prism measuring 60 cm on all 3 sides with a height of 17 cm, weighing in at 40.83 kgs. The primary chassis is constructed of the aluminum alloy 7075-T6 with a thickness of 0.6 cm. At time of discovery a ████ brand 31cm carbide edged sawblade was mounted horizontally on the front panel of SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX shows signs of sentience, and is capable of following both visual and verbal instructions. It is so far unknown how SCP-XXXX is able to observe its surroundings, as no sensory equipment is mounted on it. Tests have shown that whatever form of vision it possesses is light based, as its performance drops in conditions of poor visibility.

The behavior of SCP-XXXX varies widely depending on its surroundings. It appears wary of humanoids it is not familiar with, but quickly allows others to approach it. While it has no way of communicating, it will occasionally respond to conversation through movement or by momentarily activating it's weapons systems. The only exception to this is when it confronts a human dressed in a blue coverall. At this time it shows signs of immense distress, attempting to distance itself from the subject, threatening with its weapon system if approached. It has only attacked a human once during all testing, ramming the subject before retreating. The Class D personnel suffered lacerations on his lower leg and a severe compound fracture, but survived. The gender and ethnicity of the person wearing the coverall does not seem to have any impact on SCP-XXXX's reaction.

When around machinery and appliances, it will entertain itself by damaging and destroying its surroundings, quickly moving from one target to the next. However, when a second combat robot was placed in the testing chamber, the behavior of SCP-XXXX changed drastically. It approached the second robot, gently nudging it and trying to get a response. When one of the researchers took control of the second robot and began to move it, SCP-XXXX quickly positioned itself on the other side of the room and started its weapon system. Over the course of the next 49 seconds, SCP-XXXX destroyed and dismantled the testing robot while suffering a single hit itself. Further testing revealed that SCP-XXXX attacked any responsive robot, regardless of the size or armament of the opponent in question.1

The interior of SCP-XXXX reveals standard wheels and electric motors, and appears to be within North American tournament standards. In lieu of a power source or control board however is the object referred to as SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a 5 cm rounded cube, comprised of an unidentified gray plastic-like material and is attached to the chassis by an unknown method. In the center of each face of SCP-XXXX-1 is a 2.8 cm square of a darker color. This darker color is solid to touch, but will become liquid and accept any electrical cable it comes in contact with. SCP-XXXX provides power to and has full control over anything connected to SCP-XXXX-1. While SCP-XXXX seems complacent with being opened up and having components added to or removed from it, it shows distress when any attempts are made to remove SCP-XXXX-1 from the chassis.

Request XXXX.1

Submitted By: Dr. ████
Date: 4-6-20██
Request: Allow SCP-XXXX to access certain areas of facility with an escort
Reason For Request: SCP-XXXX seems to be performing poorly in isolation, and has begun periodically ramming the door of its containment chamber. Allowing it more freedom may prevent it from damaging its room or itself.

Request Status: DENIED APPROVED
