Capt Cuddles

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a circular tank of water measuring 5 meters in diameter. This tank is to be kept in a 6 m x 6 m x 6 m steel chamber. The depth of this tank is approximately 7 feet deep. The water should be filled with chlorine tablets once per week to ensure the survival of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX is to be contained at Site-██. The eggs of SCP-XXXX are to remain frozen and kept in Storage Locker #█. If SCP-XXXX attempts to swim out of the tank or break the glass, please see [Leaflet 7B] (All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be top secret and no civilians or residents should be aware of their existence)

Description: SCP-XXXX is a marine animal measuring two meters in length. SCP-XXXX is about 45 kilograms in weight. SCP-XXXX has a short snout and a small body. The tail however is very long and makes up for most of SCP-XXXX's length. The limbs of SCP-XXXX are short and stubby, yet the claws on the end of each digit are very sharp. The skin of SCP-XXXX is similar to that of (Crocodylus niloticus), or Nile crocodile. However the coloration of the creatures skin is a dark blue. The mouth of SCP-XXXX is filled with rows of teeth and upon further examination SCP-XXXX has pharyngeal jaws. SCP-XXXX is highly aggressive and will attempt to attack staff even if they are not in the water. SCP-XXXX has a pair of external gills which have the ability to draw oxygen from chlorine filled water. However, due to this SCP-XXXX cannot survive in freshwater or saltwater.

Upon discovery of SCP-XXXX there were also egg like sacs stuck to the bottom of the pool. After the draining of the pool the eggs were taken into Foundation custody. However upon further investigation 1 egg was hatched and the location of the hatchling is unknown. The hatchling has been called SCP-XXXX-B upon it's dicovery in [Data Expunged]. (See Addendum) The method of defense of SCP-XXXX is unlike that of any living creature. If attacked or threatened SCP-XXXX releases large amounts of elemental chlorine from pores in its skin. The reason for this might be due to the amounts of chlorine inside of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX can oxidize the chlorine and use it against possible threats.

The diet of SCP-XXXX is unknown and any attempts to feed SCP-XXXX with pigs, rats, and other mammalian creatures have resulted in SCP-XXXX circling the animal with no aggressive behavior. However once an organism shows signs of struggling or splashing, SCP-XXXX will grab the animal and pull it down to the bottom of it's tank and hold it under the water till it drowns. SCP-XXXX using it's pharyngeal jaws rips chunks of flesh off the animal and consumes it.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX-B has been located in a small residence pool only 1 mile away from the pool where it was hatched from. SCP-XXXX-B was only 3 feet long and looked similar to SCP-XXXX. However the only noticeable difference was the small sail on it's back. The reason for such a different adaptation is unknown. Yet 1 adaptation has not changed as upon discovery of the creature it began to release the elemental chlorine and this resulted in the death of one MTF. SCP-XXXX-B has been captured and placed in the same tank as SCP-XXXX. Once SCP-XXXX-B is too large it will be removed from the tank and will be transfered to Site-██.

After many investigations taken place at public and private pools, it appears that there are many variations and many other instances of SCP-XXXX. All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be reported and written in incident reports starting with Incident #1

Incident #203: Another SCP-XXXX has been found in a indoor pool in [Data Expunged]. It has been terminated due to the attcks of 3 MTF members.

Incident #376: Yet another SCP-XXXX has been found, however it appears to be bipedal and has significantly longer arms and legs. It has been contained at Site-██.
