Item #: SCP-1505 (Killer Dream)

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX cannot be contained by normal procedures as it simply does not exist on any known physical dimension. Instead all personnel are instructed to imagine the perfect prison or cage for it and concentrate until awoken. SiteXX personnel within the victims presence are to wake them as soon as possible to avoid potential mishaps during delicate experiments. SCP-1230 is forbidden from being transferred to SiteXX. All personnel are participating in Tests or certain procedures are advised to get the appropriate level of rest before participating to avoid tempting fate.
Description: SCP-XXXX was discovered during an investigation at Site XX after the unexplainable deaths of several personnel in their sleep. Originally thought to be a containment breach by one of the SCP's that effect the mind, however this proved fruitless when tests found no conclusive evidence to point towards any SCP's breaking containment. SCP-XXXX's effect manifests in the sudden onset of deep sleep, particularly stages 3 and 4 of REM Sleep. SCP-XXXX's appearance varies depending on the victim, with most surviving accounts agreeing that SCP-XXXX resembled a floating black orb seemingly made of shadow with an extremely large white toothy smile. (See XXXX-01-Interview Log) The dreams last only as long as the victim can keep SCP-XXXX locked up or restrained until awoken. (See Experiment-XXXX-04)

Interviewer: Agent Howl, can you remember anything prior to your collapse in the SiteXX break room? Anything abnormal or wrong with the environment or perhaps any physical or mental abnormalities?

Agent Howl: Dr Mart, these questions were asked before the interview was advised during my medical examination.

Dr Mart: This is just protocol, Agent Howl. Please answer the questions for the official record.

Agent Howl: Okay. Um..[Agent pauses]..I remember walking into the break room to get a cup of coffee. Ever since the Lock-down security has been increased and my 2:00 AM shift for SCP-[REDACTED] was just about to start. I don't remember collapsing though. There wasn't any nausea or headaches prior to entering the room but I was a little tired though. These late shifts are tough especially when the SCP in question requires [DATA EXPUNGED].
Dr Mart: Do You remember anything during the time you were out? Dreams perhaps?

Agent Howl: Yeah, just one though. It was one of those good ones too.
Dr Mart: Good Ones?

Agent Howl: Uh…What were they called again? [Agent pauses] It was the type of dream where you know that you're dreaming and well anything can happen. What was it called?
Dr Mart: A Lucid Dream?

Agent Howl: Yes! It was like that. Except there was this thing in it. It felt…..foreign, like it wasn't supposed to be there. I thought it would be safer if I just put it in a [DATA EXPUNGED]. Caged it like an animal.

Dr Mart: So you put it in a cage. What happened next

Agent Howl: It got real pissed. It started making a lot of ruckus and noise. So I put it in a [DATA EXPUNGED].
Dr Mart:
