Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: [ SCP-xxxx is to be monitored via tapped cctv survailance put in place by the foundation. Current staffing inside SCP-XXXX consists of 70 D-class personal, 10 agents, and 2 emergency squads per quadrant of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. Tracking devices are to be placed on all personal along daily reports submitted regarding daily activity. Family and loved ones are permitted to live with personnel under the ruse of a job relocation for the personnel's alibi career. Trackers on non-personnel related to personnel are mandatory. A tracker will be given as an "immunization" shot following a medical check-up provided by Foundation medical staff. Any tampering with the trackers will result in the alert of Foundation research site ██████████. A new tracker will be placed and, if necessary, class b amnesiacs may be administered. Deployment into SCP-XXXX is to alternate between SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 to maintain an equal number of foundation personal between both cities and evenly track movement between one another. ]

Description: [SCP-XXXX consists of two cities aprox. over 4000 miles apart. SCP-XXXX-1 is a Brazillian city with a population of approximately ███████. SCP-XXXX-2 is a German city with an approximate population of ███████. Both cities seem to possess spatial anomalies connecting them. Traversing either city runs the chance of passing into a spatial phenomenon bridging or mixing both cities together. E.g A road in SCP-XXXX-1 may intersect a road in SCP-XXXX-2, or a bridge in SCP-XXXX-2 may cross onto SCP-XXXX-1, or Shops of one city may be found next to houses known to be located in the other, with street architecture and structures from both appearing simultaneously.

Areas, where the two cities interact, are not "set".
where and how the cities interact and crossover will tend to move and shift. While at one point in time a street may have aspects of both cities present, during an indeterminable period this can change this may change after a minimum of 30 minutes. The upper limit to where this anomaly will stay manifested is currently unknown. Research staff are to observe and monitor manifestations within their assigned area of operation and report any outliers of current trends in behavior.
Local residents of both cities have shown to be aware of the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX. When questioned, they talk about it as a normal part of life in the cities. Residents treat it as a normal obstacle that they must compensate for as they would traffic or the weather. Interactions so far have shown fluidity in SCP-xxxx's manifestations. Currently, There is no known method of prediction or navigation that accounts for spatial anomoly. It has been determined that a psychic link between subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX itself. Most notably while initial exploration and navigation may be confusing, after an estimated time of [REDACTED], subjects living within SCP-XXXX begin to find navigation throughout the cities intuitive and the ways in which they arrange themselves more predictable. After the discovery of the psychic link, some patterns have been able to be identified. These patterns are not always consistent and have shown not to help in navigational experiments performed with D-class personnel not fully in sync with SCP-XXXX's psychic link.

The psychic link associated with SCP-XXXX has been found to immediately establish, and become stronger along with increased exposure. Through multiple interviews with D-class test subjects and civilians before and after they leave the city, it has been determined that the link between subjects and SCP-XXXX goes beyond providing navigational abilities and has allowed SCP-XXXX to go unnoticed to the outside world. Within either city, new visitors' reaction to the spatial distortions are abnormally tame, subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX for any duration will not usually speak about anomalous occurrences unless inquired specifically about instances of activity they have experienced. They have shown little to no interest in treating it as a spectacle of any kind. This effect seems to have a more immediate effect, as opposed to the navigational aspect of the psychic link. Upon leaving either city subjects have shown either a lack of knowledge of the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX. In tests regarding communication between SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 and the outside world, subjects avert talking about the city other than the one they are visiting or residing in. Attempts to force subjects into a conversation about the other cit or any phenomenon experience have failed.

*Addendum:** [Currently foundation research continues to learn of the exact manner in which space folds in on itself within the cities. however, primary analysis should go into potential security breaches as the risk of the city drawing attraction to its anomalous behavior through spreading of information is high. With the discovery of new psychic effects SCP-XXXX has on subjects, the potential for a security breach has been determined to be lower than initially calculated. Current research should go into the Spatial anomaly present, the mechanisms by which the psychic effects work, and history of SCP-XXXX's existence. However, monitoring all social media and other interactions with areas outside SCP-XXXX including phone lines is still a priority]
