If you are currently reading this text, this means you have been granted access to the file, or an error with the agent has occurred. A secondary Axéchastos-V2 Antimemetic Agent will be engaged to prevent unauthorized personnel from initial viewing of the ENKIDU CSD. FOUNDATION
NOTE: The following is an excerpt from [REDACTED].
ENKIDU Conceptually Secure Documentation is a type of documentation developed by the Foundation Antimemetics Department as a means of storing data related to SCP-[$DATABASE_ERROR] without ontologically compromising the viewer.
ENKIDU was devised in 19██ as a replacement for the previous documentation scheme, known as GILGAMESH, which was abandoned after Incident [ERROR - NONREAL NUMBER].
This documentation method utilizes a complex multilevel memetic coding scheme contained within a Type III Langford-Erlichmann Active Visual Matrix. This matrix, when viewed by a human being, causes the viewer's own brain to subconsciously construct the conceptual entity of the document within the reader's mind and superimpose it within their field of vision. Thus, the viewer does not read the document's text per se, but instead instantly and continuously visualizes it in place of the matrix.
Conceptual isolation is achieved through the use of ENKIDU's defining feature - the so-called "infinitely recursive frame." Specifically, the aforementioned memetic matrix constructs the document in the viewer's mind an "infinitely metafictional construct" - which is to say, not as a piece of actual documentation but as "a story, within a story, within a story," ad infiniteum. Consciously, the reader will notice little difference, except perhaps a feeling of detachedness from the document's contents; subconsciously, however, their brain will fail to establish a conceptual link between the real document and the corresponding mental construct. This, in conjunction with the fact that the actual text viewed is a visual construct, renders the viewer conceptually isolated from the document.
Upon the initial use of an ENKIDU CSD, said document can be accessed and modified without secondary viewing of the Type III Langford-Erlichmann AVM. A Chióni Memetic Cognitive Signaling Structure allows changes made to the doc by a user become visible to other users, with an approximate wait time of 5 minutes for changes to become visible. This is achieved via the creation of memetically shielded noises, which, when received by a user, will change the user's perception of the document to view these changes. These noises cannot be audibly heard by any known means. This also permits memetic communication between users, which can be done across large distances with slight delay.

Special Containment Procedures: All major information regarding SCP-001 is to be stored within an ENKIDU Conceptually Secure Document, with access restricted to Team Ea personnel. No spoken, physical, and digital information pertaining to SCP-001 is allowed. The Tychaíos-V3 Antimemetic Agent is to mask this file in Foundation databases. A secondary Axéchastos-V2 Antimemetic Agent will be engaged to prevent unauthorized personnel from initial viewing of the ENKIDU CSD. Any instability detected in ENKIDU CSD-001 is to be reported immediately to Dr. Hye Arend. As it is unknown if ENKIDU is the safest means of storing information on SCP-001, investigation into improved information storage is underway.
Contained anomalies are to be routinely checked for signs of being SCP-001-A instances. If one is likely, it is to be immediately reported to Team Ea Command for evaluation. If the nature of an SCP-001-A instance is different than the Foundation's believed nature, revised procedures are to be instated. It is recommended that at least two Team Ea personnel be assigned to each SCP-001-A instance, with the exception of SCP-001-A1, A2, and A3.
Kusihla Bots 1-6 are to routinely scan Foundation databases for SCP-001-Bα and log said changes before reverting the files to their original state. These SCP-001-Bα are to be provided to Team Ea personnel, transcribed into ENKIDU CSD-001-A, and analyzed. Upon transcription the SCP-001-Bα must be destroyed. Kusihla Bots 7-12 are to routinely check internet sites for identification of SCP-001-Bα outside of Foundation databases and signs of SCP-001-Bβ. If any signs are given a 85% or higher likelihood of being 001-Bβ, MTF-Aleph-1 ("Randomizers") or MTF-Aleph-2 ("Fractal Breakers") are to be dispatched.
NOTE: The following is an excerpt from ENKIDU CSD Manual 1993, written by Dr. Chara Glykeria. A full version can be found in Addendum-2.
ENKIDU Conceptually Secure Documentation is a type of documentation developed by the Foundation Antimemetics Department as a means of storing data related to SCP-579 without ontologically compromising the viewer.
ENKIDU was devised in 1993 as a replacement for the previous documentation scheme, known as GILGAMESH, which was abandoned after Incident GILGAMESH-Gamma. During this incident the memetics used to generate GILGAMESH documents became kill agents, causing anyone viewing a GILGAMESH Type III Langford-Erlichmann Active Visual Matrix to permanently cease brain functions. Whether this is was caused by SCP-001 is up to debate, as most records of data logged in GILGAMESH had no physical or digital counterpart.

The database file for SCP-001 should be checked on a weekly basis for corruption and SCP-001-Bα, which should be transcribed and deleted. If this file is removed from the database an improved version should be added.
Item #: SCP-001-A1
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Guidelines: SCP-001-A1 is to be contained in solid three dimensional chamber made of a combination of various sturdy materials. The inside of this chamber is to be filled with a mixture of amorphous substances. Machines composed of various metal types and of varying shape and size are to move along the chamber's interior along rail systems that follow complex paths around the chamber. Each machine is to roll dice at random intervals. Each die will have varying shape, size, color, and numerals. A secondary 17m cube chamber is to hold the first one, with amorphous substances in between. Struts keeping the chambers connected are to be placed at random.
If a major component of the chamber breaks, any number of D-Class personnel are to surround the chamber, rolling different types of die while repairs are performed. In case the chamber fully breaks, the room the chambers are held in is to be flooded with various kinds of amorphous substances. During reconstruction the chamber must be built differently.

Item #: SCP-2521[A4]
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: In addition to existing procedures, all textual information regarding SCP-2521 must be recorded in ENKIDU CSD-001. All non-image and pictograph based communication must be done with ENKIDU.
Item #: SCP-579[A5]
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: In addition to existing procedures, no information on SCP-579 is allowed outside ENKIDU CSD-001. Work on obtaining more information on SCP-579 is a top priority, primarily on permanent deactivation of the anomaly. The Foundation database document for SCP-579 should be routinely checked on the status of its information degradation. If degradation has stopped for a week, changes should be made to the document to add any information on the anomaly that is unlikely to restart degradation. Any SCP-001-Bα instances identified should be logged in ENKIDU-CSD-001.
Item #: SCP-2821[A6]
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: In addition to existing procedures, any transmissions from the anomaly must be logged in ENKIDU CSD-001 and studied by Team Ea personnel. Neutralization of SCP-2821 is considered a top priority via completion of Project Heisenberg-Stiriacus.

Item #: SCP-055
Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: Two Team Ea personnel must enter SCP-055's chamber daily and check on the status of SCP-055, with a third member monitoring to ensure containment of SCP-001-A8. All observations are to be recorded in ENKIDU CSD-001. Any damage is to be fixed immediately, with the provided 055/Homonoia Service Manual as a reference. Both Ea personnel are to monitor the repair process and remind each other of their objective each minute if they become antimemetically affected. Class-E mnestic gas is to be released into the chamber if both personnel become antimemetically affected. All communication must be done primarily with ENKIDU. Physical memetic images are provided to remind the personnel of their objective.
Description: SCP-001 is the designation for a group of extradimensional entities, colloquially known as "pattern screamers." SCP-001-A refers to known instances of SCP-001 existing in the observable universe. SCP-001-B designates changes to reality caused by SCP-001, often manifesting in information on SCP-001. SCP-001-Bα are digital in nature, while SCP-001-Bβ are physical manifestations.
Currently it is unknown what SCP-001 exactly is. Since its original discovery various theories have been proposed to explain what it is, with major ones including SCP-001 being a singular entity attempting to enter reality and it being a single entity separated into multiple anomalies. The current accepted theory stating that SCP-001 is a group of entities was derived from study of SCP-001-Bα instances. SCP-001 primarily causes the breakdown of patterns in reality. These patterns range from physical patterns, such as the laws of physics, and conceptual patterns, such as a language or thoughts. This can range from minor modifications to the complete destruction of patterns. Information regarding SCP-001 is a primary target of this effect, causing large difficulty in containing and learning about the anomaly. Currently ENKIDU Conceptually Secure Documentation is the only known way to store information on SCP-001 without major information corruption and destruction.
SCP-001-Bα instances are the corruption of information on SCP-001, due to difficulties differentiating possible instances from unrelated anomalies and normal information loss. Main identifiers for instances include references to patterns, screaming, and a white void. A common feature for a large amount of these is any additional information being written as if from an SCP-001-A instance, either in the form of a message or monologue. Study of these has provided a majority of the information on SCP-001, along with identification for SCP-001-A. It is also possible to use the frequency of appearance of SCP-001-B instances to determine when SCP-001-A will manifest, based the frequency increasing prior to the manifestation of SCP-001-A1 and SCP-001-A2 and subsequently decreasing after.
There are currently far less recorded SCP-001-Bβ than SCP-001-Bα. As the easiest way to identify SCP-001-Bβ involves monitoring internet sites, and that SCP-001-Bα are easy to identify in Foundation databases, there are likely many manifestations that either go unnoticed or are not believed to be related to SCP-001. Work on improved methods of SCP-001-Bβ identification are currently in progress.
Due to the nature of SCP-001 it is unknown when the Foundation first learned about the anomaly. Information from SCP-001-Bα suggests that the Foundation had interacted with SCP-001 before, though any records of these interactions don't exist. The earliest known interaction was with SCP-001-A3, an antimemetic entity discovered during early experimentation with mnestics during 1971 by the Foundation Counterconceptual Division. Any memories of SCP-001-A3 without mnestic use would consist almost entirely of random imagery and static, which also affected any memories of information on the anomaly. Upon its discovery several attempts were made to contain the anomaly, each failing due to anomaly escaping upon the mnestics wearing off. At an unknown point an MTF team were able to neutralize SCP-001-A3 while using mnestics, causing slow degradation of information on the anomaly. Recovered information describes the entity as constantly talking about it having been imprisoned in a white void and letting out noises similar to human screaming. Analysis of this information was used to determine the connection to SCP-001.
Team Ea was founded in 1993 by Dr. Eon Lodewikus, a member of the Foundation Antimemetics Division after the invention of ENKIDU Conceptually Secure Documentation. Dr. Lodewikus began an investigation on the loss of information on various antimemetic anomalies, using ENKIDU as a means of storing collected data. In 1994 a committee was formed to further investigate, which discovered evidence of various of an anomalous entity capable of of destroying information on itself and anyone with knowledge of it. Further investigation lead to the development of the first theory on SCP-001, along with its designation. Out of worries that knowledge of the committee could endanger the Foundation at large, all information regarding the investigation and SCP-001 was destroyed, isolating the now formed Team Ea from the Foundation. In addition, all information involving ENKIDU was removed to prevent other personnel from discovering SCP-001 through a similar method. Since then Team Ea has been recruiting researchers and MTF officers to contain SCP-001.

Description:
Item #: SCP-055
Description: SCP-055 is a large machine located in what is believed to be an abandoned research lab in Site-19, occupying a third of the space. SCP-055 is constructed primarily from steel, though various unknown metals are also incorporated into the design. The machine is composed of various silos, pipes, electrical generators, vents, LED monitors, and unknown devices. How SCP-055 generates its antimemetic properties is unknown, though it is likely caused by amnestic gases released from the vents and antimemes displayed on the monitors. Connected to the central silo of SCP-055 is a computer terminal resembling a DEC VTC1000, emblazoned with the Foundation Antimemetics Division logo. This terminal displays the controls for SCP-055 to disable specific functions of the anomaly, with a password requirement for each one. A second terminal displays several status bars and percentages, two of which are labeled "Class-O Amnestics" and "Stored Energy." The approximate percentages for these values are both 20%. Research into a possible way of increasing these values is ongoing.
SCP-055 is responsible for the containment of an anomaly designated SCP-001-A8. Any subject that becomes knowledgeable to an unknown degree on the anomaly or interact with it will undergo conceptual degradation until all information on them is gone, along with death caused by the randomization of the chemical and elemental makeup of their body. Three known Team Ea personnel have been killed by SCP-001-A8 to date. Personnel that perceive the anomaly enough to not experience its affects often describe it as "a hole in the world" and "a void."
The only information detailing the build of SCP-055 is in the 055/Homonoia Service Manual, located in SCP-055's chamber. However, antimemetic properties of this document remove information on the anomaly once personnel exit the chamber. An investigation into countering this affect is underway.
