Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Contaiment Procedures: Any SCP-XXXX are to be kept away from the public at all costs to minimize threat. Because it never reappears too far from it's location of death, SCP-XXXX is to be hunted immediately after death.

Regular containment protocol is to forcefully and physically detain SCP-XXXX on location and escort them into comfortable and healthy solitary confinement conditions for a regular human being. Regularly checked and tested fire safety tools are a must for these locations. Depending on the individuality of the subject, other precautions may be taken1. Under no circumstances should SCP-XXXX be directly reminded of previous incarnations of itself and must always be referred to as "E" or any name or nickname beginning with "E".

Only Class B or higher personnel (or those escorted by said individuals and briefed with specific SCP-XXXX protocol) are allowed contact with the subject after the ████████████ incident on ██/██/20██. Upon safe containment, SCP-XXXX is to be risk assessed and assigned a personal security officer or team to minimize risk when interacting with other personnel.

Rules and regulations relating to SCP-XXXX are to be posted outside it's containment zone as a reminder to all personnel working with the subject.

Regular visual, audio and typed records of SCP-XXXX subjects must be kept and updated daily to avoid confusion.

Description: SCP-XXXX, "the E-Humanoid" or simply "E", appears as a healthy human male or female in their mid-thirties with noticeable, unnaturally pale skin and no other visually distinguishing features. It is suspected that SCP-XXXX's appearance and personality is consciously based loosely on that of recently (at the time of SCP-XXXX's death/reappearance) missing or deceased persons local to the area (see addendum 2).

SCP-XXXX will gradually age at a regular human rate until deceased (by any circumstance), whereupon it's entirety will suddenly disappear, causing most memories including the specific subject but not the SCP-XXXX in general to be lost. Additionally, a new SCP-XXXX will appear2 within an approximate five (5) mile radius under currently unknown circumstances. All SCP-XXXX do not have names but will respond to any name beginning with "E".

The real danger of SCP-XXXX lies in it's potential volatility3 and overall difficulty to permanently contain. Additionally, when and where the subject appears, all other lifeforms within an approximate five (5) mile radius will remember the subject's current incarnation as always existing when asked.

If SCP-XXXX is reminded of a previous existence, or is directly referred to with a name that doesn't begin with "E", it will quickly seek out it's own death, often attacking and killing others in the process. Those who witness it's death and subsequent disappearance first-hand will remember only the death of the subject but will recall the death as their own, rather than that of the subject's, potentially causing long lasting psychological trauma. If it cannot kill itself by other means, the subject will trigger spontaneous combustion of itself in exactly five (5) minutes (see addendum 2).

Addendum 1: It is suspected an SCP-XXXX does not check for potential dangers in the area before it reappears. In the case of SCP-XXXX-11, the subject was recorded drowning and subsequently disappearing by a local by the name of ████ ██████ within minutes of it's appearance after appearing in the sea.

Addendum 2: SCP-XXXX-08 was found approximately one (1) mile from Site-17 after the death of Dr. ████ and SCP-XXXX-07's self-combustion, which records noted was directly 5 minutes after initial aggression. SCP-XXXX-08 bared a striking resemblance to Dr. ████'s appearance, leading researchers believe the deceased or missing people it bases it's appearance on are often closer to it's previous incarnation's place of death. Additionally, it seems to appear closer to the area where said people were often found.

Addendum 3: It is possible there were more SCP-XXXX's than there are on record, due to the nature of this anomaly.

Addendum 4: One current SCP-XXXX subject SCP-XXXX-████ is considered Safe and located at Site-17, under the care of Dr. ███████ and Agent ███ Euclid.
