Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be secured by no fewer than six (6) on-site personnel until such time as decontamination protocols can be established. Personnel must respect a twenty meter (20 m) safe zone around the currently established Red (No Entry) Zone at all costs. Should yelling, shouts or calling by one's name be heard emanating from within the Forest Red Zone, Foundation personnel on-site are to immediately put on protective earplugs and withdraw from their positions to a two kilometer (2 km) perimeter, beyond the currently established Yellow Zone, and inform Foundation scientific personnel immediately.

Access to SCP-xxxx is only permitted to staff with a security clearance of Level 3 or higher. While within SCP-xxxx, all personnel are strictly advised to wear chosen field suits and must not be taken off from within the area .All personnel must also avoid contact with any trees present in SCP-XXXX, and are to stay at a minimum distance of 3 meters, unless they are under orders to do so or if it is part of a current experiment.

Description: Located at the forest regions of ████████, Philippines, local landscape surveyors reported sudden geographical anomalies event coming from the area now known as SCP-xxxx. The Foundation was alerted after the surveyors reported anomalous topological features. D-class personnel were fitted with GPS trackers and tasked with walking across the entire area of SCP-xxxx; though the subjects reported that they maintained a constant verbal interaction with each other, their behavior relative to the area outside SCP-xxxx changed dramatically as the subjects ventured further in. The deployed personnel kept seeing trees moving in an odd way no tree would do, voices calling their names, and several unexplained events. One of the subjects reported that when their group mate touched or went near to a tree in a distance of 2 meters the trees began to ensnare and transmutes an individual into a wood-like state via roots/vines after several hours, said individual became into a smaller version of a tree in approximately 12-15 minutes of his ensnarement. On another expedition into the forest, reveals that the trees produced "faces" overnight though causes of this is presumed that these faces belonged to the individuals that became trees; it appears that SCP-xxxx may be sentient though attempts on communicating with it proved unfruitful. The D-class personnel forced to endure prolonged stays inside SCP-xxxx have developed a wide array of mental instabilities, ranging from anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder to catatonia, hallucinations, psychosis and violent behavior prior to hurting and pushing others towards the trees.
