Item #: SCP-2952
Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-2952’s holding cell is made of tungsten due to high temperature resistance and material rigidity. Holding cell temperature is to be maintained at a constant 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Water must be given on an hourly basis, using an automatic dispenser made of tungsten that’s built into the cell in order to physically cool internal organs and systems. SCP-2952 must be kept in ideal lighting conditions to properly regulate internal body temperature. Two large arrays of warm blue LED lights are located parallel to each other on the ceiling of subject’s holding cell.

Description:
SCP-2952 is humanoid in appearance, sporting arms, legs, and a head similar in shape to that of a human but differing in various ways. SCP-2952’s hands feature elongated fingers with sharp ends to the digits. Additionally, SCP-2952’s hands contain only 4 fingers, each of which are the same length. Subject’s feet similarly only have four toes each, all of which have sharp ends. Neither subject’s fingers or toes have nails. SCP-2952’s skin is almost entirely of a jet black color, with only intermittent segments that show a lighter black color. Dr. ---‘s initial report on SCP-2952 numbered BN001 hypothesizes that subject developed skin pigment over time, as the internal body temperature charred subject’s skin and modified it to resemble a hardened, insect-like exoskeleton. While the catalyst for subject’s abnormally high internal body temperature is unknown, report BN001 and later, BN004, found that whenever any part of SCP-2952’s body is viewed in a direct line of sight, the viewer’s body temperature increases to a point where internal combustion begins. After directly viewing subject, viewer will internally combust anywhere between the time span of 4-5 seconds. There is no stopping the process, even if the viewer only catches a glance of SCP-2952. Surveillance and study of subject must be done remotely through cameras and IR sensors.
