Special Containment Procedures (Revised, Continued):
Knowledge of SCP-#### is not an infohazard or cognitohazard.
Application of Mnestic Formulation W has been approved for Agents and Researchers at Level-2 or higher security clearance to counteract SCP-XXXX's primary antimemetic effect.
Infiltration of SCP-XXXX into Foundation Sites ██ through 17, ██, and ██ was near-total before Incident-XXXX-02. Revised Containment Procedures and action by local security personnel has successfully eliminated SCP-XXXX instances in Sites 17, ██, and ██, and protocols are being implemented throughout Foundation hardened facilities.
Any staff at facilities not rated clear of SCP-XXXX entities are not to leave logged-in terminals unattended.
Attempts at infiltration to cleared sites by further SCP-XXXX entities are to be observed, and not actively repulsed unless entities breach outer blast doors.
Automatic approvals of security clearance for PSY-3 individuals is unnecessary with the development of artificial Mnestics.
Engagement with SCP-XXXX entities 'in the field', outside of Foundation-controlled sites is not permitted.
Special Containment Procedures (antiquated): Containment not possible at this time. Extent of SCP-#### infiltration into Foundation sites and resources other than Site-17 unknown. Knowledge of SCP-#### is not an infohazard or cognitohazard. This script has been programmed to retype this SCP database entry repeatedly from doubly-encrypted, non-rewritable RAM on a five-second hardware controlled countdown to counteract SCP-####'s primary information obfuscation effect. At least one instance of this file is to remain in Foundation servers at all times.
Only individuals with a rating above PSY-3 on the Josef-Alek Scale of Psychic Abilities, or individuals with a replacement mutation in allele D21S13 appear to be immune to SCP-XXXX's primary effect. Standard Foundation testing of present staff indicate that there are only 2 staff at Level-2 clearance or above that have been rated PSY-3, and no non D-class individuals with the D21S13 mutation. Both these individuals are presently located at Site-17, and their correspondence led to the discovery of SCP-XXXX.
If an agent with both PSY-3 and Level-2 security clearance requests transfer to another site, this request should be immediately granted. If an agent of Level-2 clearance or higher requests emergency Level-2 clearance for a Level-1 cleared individual rated PSY-3, this request should be immediately granted.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was originally discovered at Site-17 by Security Officer Higgins and Researcher Derek Alexander. Upon discovery, every attempt was made to alert other Foundation staff to the infiltration, but no staff alerted took any further action, and did not recall having been told about SCP-XXXX. Researcher Alexander determined that this was an effect of SCP-XXXX. Judging that only he and Officer Higgins were somehow immune to this effect, Alexander created the first iteration of this database entry, and he and Higgins continued to observe the entities. Upon development of Foundation Mnestic formula W and the Antimemetics Department, their correspondence with Antimemetics led to this final version of the entry.
Description:
No formal research has been done upon SCP-XXXX entities.
Knowledge of SCP-XXXX is not an infohazard or cognitohazard. SCP-XXXX is an anomalous bipedal, digitiform humanoid lifeform, instances of which range in height from four to six feet tall. Recording of any characteristic information on or about SCP-XXXX is impossible at this point due to SCP-XXXX's primary antimemetic effect.
This effect is that information recorded about SCP-XXXX or its effects is immediately erased from any media, making information storage impossible. This effect takes place regardless of medium. All individuals that become aware of SCP-XXXX, or its anomalous effects are likewise immediately made to forget.
Encrypted information about SCP-XXXX is not affected by this effect - but upon testing the effect occurs immediately upon decryption.
Please consult Security Officer Higgins or Researcher Derek Alexander, both stationed at Site-17 the Antimemetics department for further details.
SCP-XXXX entities have been observed to:
- observe Foundation personnel at work,
- open and close doors,
- tamper with Foundation equipment,
- congregate in clusters of as few as 3 and as many as 20 for unknown purposes,
- use Foundation computers and hardware.
SCP-XXXX does not appear able to bypass or otherwise breach Foundation databases or physical security, instead observing over the shoulder of Foundation personnel, making use of logged-in, unattended consoles, and entering secured areas alongside or very soon after personnel with the correct clearance. Despite this lack of access, SCP-XXXX has lead to at least 4 known breaches of containment of other SCP objects at Site-17, and an unknown number of breaches are attributable to their interference at other sites.
Incident-XXXX-01: Officer Higgins encountered an instance of SCP-XXXX alone in a secured room, and successfully terminated it using his standard-issue pistol. Upon radio contact with Researcher Alexander, it was discovered that no other SCP-XXXX entities present in Site-17 reacted to this. Higgins remained in the secured room with the corpse. After 15 minutes, a further four instances of SCP-XXXX entered the room, and were observed to remove the body from Site-17. These instances did not take notice of Officer Higgins before or during the extraction, and Higgins was not permitted to follow beyond the boundaries of Site-17. Higgins was later given a formal reprimand by site security co-ordinators, and made to attend two courses on firearm safety.
Incident-XXXX-02: Upon development of Mnestic formulas, Mnestic-W was given to all security personnel stationed at Site-17, including Officer Higgins. MTF-Eta-10 ("See No Evil") was relocated from ████████ to assist, and also administered Mnestic-W. Entering Site-17 proper, the blast door was closed behind them, and the order given to not unseal the door until all clear sounded by site administrators. Immediately upon entering, agents observed SCP-XXXX entities in the main gate control booth, and throughout the halls. A decision was made to survey Site-17. A total of ███ entities were tallied in Site-17, or approximately 2 for each person employed by the Foundation, not including D-class personnel. A sweep was made from the █th sub-basement towards the sealed blast doors at ground level. All SCP-XXXX entities present were eliminated, with zero friendly casualties. A final survey of the facility by Eta-10 was conducted before the all-clear was sounded. █ entities were observed in the area immediately surrounding Site-17, and these were also eliminated before Eta-10 was extracted to their ordinary base of operations in ████████.
Incident-XXXX-03: Returning to ████████, all members of Eta-10 observed a similar scale infiltration of SCP-XXXX entities at their home facility. Eta-10 conducted a similar sweep of their facility, again eliminating all SCP-XXXX entities present with zero casualties.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX appears to be present in all surveyed cities, including London, Mumbai, Johannesburg, and ████████. There is an estimated worldwide population of █████████. Foundation protocols at this time focus on their exclusion and elimination from secured sites.
