Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 18 x 24 glass case. D-Class Personnel are not to be inside of SCP-XXXX for longer than 30 minutes. In the event of an emergency, all instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are to be contained inside a standard containment chamber until the situation is settled. If any instances of SCP-XXXX have level 0 clearance, they are to be terminated unless pardoned for reasons of research. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 should never handle civilian/military grade weaponry.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a hand-painted image of a clock. The frame is measured as 18 inches by 24 inches. When normally observed, it appears to be a normal painting of a clock with no visual anomalous effects. However, when something makes physical contact with SCP-XXXX, it is possible to move through it. Beyond the painting is a dark staircase leading up to an immense, functional, yet severely torn clock. People who enter SCP-XXXX gains a second life, and the extension on how long this life is is completely based upon how long the person stays inside SCP-XXXX. When people leave SCP-XXXX, their life goes on completely normal until they die. When victims of SCP-XXXX die, a duplicate of the victim appears, who should now referred as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 instances are completely invulnerable to any and all attacks/damage from anyone/anything, but show severe symptoms of depression. SCP-XXXX-2 instances die when the amount of time remained in SCP-XXXX has been reached. When this happens, all vital signs of SCP-XXXX-2 drop completely within 3 seconds. Cause of death is normally a heart-attack, however, reports of an inordinate amount of internal bleeding have happened before.
Addendum: Death has so far shown to be impossible in SCP-XXXX. Communication devices are disrupted in SCP-XXXX, making radio-to-radio communication nearly impossible. Sometimes, D-Class personnel claim to sight a figure inside SCP-XXXX who claims his identity as Jim Cobswell. Jim Cobswell usually sits on top of a rock, and all D-Class personnel who have entered SCP-XXXX say that Jim Cobswell performs a suicidal act before they leave, whether it be jumping from his rock into the ocean or impaling himself in the clock hands. Jim Cobswell is described as wearing a white, torn pillow case or a white suit with black tie.
