Description:
SCP-XXXX appears to be a standard pack of mint-flavored [REDACTED] brand dental floss. The item's anomalous properties appear when someone uses the item to floss their teeth. Users who floss regularly and users who don't floss regularly alike experience bleeding of the gums normal for a non-flosser. No subjects tested are bothered bleeding, including those who reportedly floss frequently. Bleeding stops after about five minutes, but subjects complain of a feeling that something is still stuck in their teeth. Regardless of floss used afterword, subjects find various items stuck between teeth. Items stuck in teeth have included popcorn shells, hair, lettuce, potato skins, thread, sewing needles, pearls, and cardboard. Subjects unhindered eventually use enough floss that the teeth and gums appear worn down. Continued use results in a complete absence of teeth and gum tissue. Subjects report a "phantom limb" sensation of still having teeth and having food stuck between teeth, causing increased agitation and irritability. Tests reveal that SCP-XXXX is laced with an unknown highly acidic substance.
