Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in the center of a circular cell with a radius of 4 meters.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an ornate box containing a small amount of sand. When placed inside a 3-meter radius of a large enough body of water, SCP-XXXX will try to reach it by whatever means possible, after which it will remove any drop of moisture from its target’s body by an unknown mean. Possible triggers to SCP-XXXX are listed below:

Subject: A mouse
Results: SCP-XXXX remained inert

Test B

Subject: A cat
Results: SCP-XXXX activated and drained the cat. It took it twelve (12) minutes before it was able to move again.

Test C

Subject: A glass of water (250 ml)behind a sealed curtain pierced with 1 mm holes.
Results: SCP-XXXX activated and drained the water. It took it three (3) minutes before it was able to move again.

Test D

Subject: A human behind a glass wall
Results: SCP-XXXX activated and broke through the wall in forty (40) minutes before draining the subject. It took it fifty-two (52) minutes before it was able to move again.

Test E**

Result: SCP-XXXX remained inert. The flower died rapidly.

SCP-XXXX doesn’t pose a threat because of its lack of hostility, and should remain as such as long as no one enters its cell.
