Notes: First attempt to write an SCP, abandoned since elevators and multidimensional mumbojumbo are way overdone, still keeping it here tho, what a waste to just delete all this and just in case I figure out a better way to execute this idea. A lot of people liked it, though an equal amount didn't since there's already a lot of things that leads you to other dimensions. Had second thoughts on posting it, though I chose not to since I don't want my first SCP as a failure like most firsts.

SCP-XXXX.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is located at the second floor of █████████ Apartments, an abandoned four-story apartment located in ███████, Georgia. Foundation personnel are to be disguised as tenants of the facility. There must be no less than two (2) armed guards posted near the facility's entrance to avoid any unwanted intrusion as well as another set of two (2) armed guards posted near SCP-XXXX. Surveillance cameras are also scattered around the facility and must be monitored at all times.

Any organized explorations are to be recorded and logged, and must include the floor number and observations and findings on each floor. Usage of SCP-XXXX requires authorization to be given by the Site Administrator only.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a standard Otis brand elevator with a 4m x 2.4m x 2.4m interior room. No records exist of any product similar to SCP-XXXX being produced by the company. It is as of yet unknown if SCP-XXXX has any inner mechanism at all. Attempts to examine SCP-XXXX's inner components have been unsuccessful.

SCP-XXXX's exterior contains two buttons, one displaying an arrow pointing upwards and one displaying an arrow pointing downwards. Pressing any of these two buttons opens SCP-XXXX's doors. There are no known difference between these two buttons rather than its function to open SCP-XXXX, pressing a different button in each instance wouldn't affect SCP-XXXX in any way.

SCP-XXXX's interior contains a number pad similar to those found on cellular phones. An indefinite combination of numbers can be pressed on said pad. Each combination of numbers entered leads to a different "floor", which are assumed to be extra-dimensional spaces. The locations of these floors show no correlation or similarities regarding their environment or physical properties. Most locations are unknown and are not located on Earth, though some floors show similarities to actual locations with a lack of habitation; see Document XXXX-1F for a brief exploration summary.

It is also noted that any other elevator at the facility in which SCP-XXXX was discovered doesn't seem to manifest any anomalous activity.

Addendum-XXXX-A1: There are no known records stating any information about █████████ Apartments. It is hypothesized that whoever created the facility must have created SCP-XXXX as well. It is also unknown if any tenant has occupied it before its abandonment. █████████ Apartments is currently being observed. As of now, there are no other anomalies recorded within the facility other than SCP-XXXX.
