SCP-#### prior to containment

Item #: SCP-####

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-#### are to be contained in Site 353 within separate containment areas resembling those of domesticated lizards. Members of SCP-####'s species must be fed and interacted with by robotic technology as to not trigger SCP-####'s anomalous effects. Human subjects must not enter any containment areas of Site 353 unless no skin is exposed as instances of SCP-#### have been known to locate weak points in their containment chambers.

Access to an instance of SCP-#### must be approved by either two personnel of Level 3 or one of Level 4 security clearance.

Description: Instances of SCP-#### resemble small lizard like creatures which will most commonly have a dark grey coat with yellow markings. Other variations have been discovered however all instances of SCP-#### will have a grey coat regardless of their detail. Their anatomy is consistent with the species Hemicordylus capensis (false girdled lizard) lacking any major differences between the species in terms of appearance.

The first instance of SCP-#### was discovered in South Africa on ██/██2003. This specimen had a measurement of 20cm in total. This organism was discovered camouflaged on some rocks. A second instance was discovered within an hour later within 1000 metres of the first. This organism measured a length of 28cm and was discovered attached to the underside of a specimen of Syncerus caffer (Cape buffalo) via its tongue. Attempts to remove the organism from the bovine without harming the instance of SCP-#### proved unsuccessful. The Foundation placed a tracking chip on the back of the SCP-#### instance and returned the next day in which it was absent from the bovine after being tracked to the same animal as before.

Instances of SCP-#### will attach to the underside of the mandible of a subject and burrow through the tissue into the oral cavity.
