Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard storage locker in site ██. No personnel may attach SCP-XXXX to a power source without approval of the site director. Testing is not to take place without approval of the Site Director and all site ██ personnel in charge of containment for keter-level objects. Testing prohibited by 05 directive.

At no point is the television programme Adam 12 or any program containing clips from Adam 12 to be viewed or played at site ██.

These procedures are to be included in information given to all site ██ personnel.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a fire station alarm bell dating from 197█ recovered from ██████████████████ Fire Station 51.

When SCP-XXXX is properly mounted and powered, personnel in its vicinity are noted to behave dramatically and unprofessionally, in a behaviour consistent with appropriate television dramas from the 1970s. Such behaviour is inconsistent with affected personnel's behaviour outside of work and away from the object.

When the television programme Adam 12 is displayed anywhere in a location containing SCP-911-CO, an emergency situation corresponding to the location's purpose will occur, and all related alarms will go off. While this can occur at any point in the programme, it primarily will occur during what viewers perceive to be the episode's "climax." Emergencies will invariably last until the episode has completed and will be of such a scope that it requires the response of all personnel viewing the episode. Any people that the viewers know who may also have viewed the programme will invariably have either been drawn away from the program, distracted during the climax, or unable to recall details relating to the ending of the episode.

The object came to Foundation attention after reports of ████ 51 receiving emergency calls during viewings of "Adam 12," at every instance of viewing and without fail. Public safety personnel were also recorded as behaving excessively dramatically and unprofessionally, in ways that would not be accepted at a standard fire station but were consistent with behaviour in television dramas dating from the object's time period.

I formally propose that we upgrade this object to keter given its potential for causing a large-scale containment breach. —Dr. ██████

Denied. Containment is simple: don't plug it in, don't watch Adam 12 or a program containing clips of Adam 12 in the site containing SCP-XXXX. -05-█

Incident XXXX-1
At ██:██ on ██/██/████, a large-scale containment breach occurred at site ██, involving ██ SCPs and resulting in ███ personnel deaths. Upon reviewing security tapes, it was found that several level-1 researchers had been watching a showing of Adam 12 in the recreations room. During subsequent questionings, it was found that the researcher's believed that the rule was in place because the site director simply did not enjoy Adam 12. Reprimands and demotions handed out accordingly. Containment procedures for SCP-XXXX are now to be part of the mandatory safety data made available to all site ██ personnel.
