An SCP that isn't an SCP at all, and really a collection of notes from a guy describing how he, through trial and error, managed to find a way to successfully contain a strange entity he found in the woods behind his house. The foundation found the notes when police were called to it after an S.O.S. was sent from his Ham radio to the nearest police station and some embedded foundation agents made a report about the notes. The creature nor the man have been found by the foundation yet, but all there is are the notes and some evidence that something strange happened at the guy's house. That's why an official entry

Object Class: Classification pending

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the circumstances surrounding SCP-XXXX, the foundation has none of its own research or data pertaining to the effective containment of it, however, the notebooks recovered from what is now Research Site-059 detail the appearance, properties, and means of effective containment of SCP-XXXX. This information was all discovered via experimentation by the previous owner of the property, a man named ████ ██████ ███████ (Herby referred to as "The subject" for brevity) over the course of 3 years of testing.

The information important to the containment of SCP-XXXX, detailed by the subject are as follows:

  • SCP-XXXX is detailed to have sapience and advanced reasoning capability, as such, artificial containers such as metal enclosures will be spotted by it, as well as most traps.
  • SCP-XXXX is also capable of escaping enclosures via transforming into a "vapor" state, and cannot escape through dirt or rock, this is why it must be contained within a cave or underground enclosure.
  • SCP-XXXX avoids spaces too tight for it to fit comfortably, any space used for its containment must be at least 2.1m in diameter.
  • SCP-XXXX is omnivorous and will eat fresh fruits, and vegetables of any kind, SCP-XXXX will eat meat as well, however only freshly killed animals, and it will not hunt to kill its own animals to eat. SCP-XXXX will not eat store-bought fruits, vegetables, or processed meat.
  • SCP-XXXX will avoid acetone whenever possible, and is given severe burns in the case that it should come into contact with it. As such this is used as the primary measure to hold it within an enclosure, a sheet or blanket soaked in acetone.

Special Containment Procedures: The foundation only captured SCP-XXXX once but he skidaddled out of there, they only have a little information regarding him. He created some kind of tear in space-time like in Looper (don't make it obvious), they did an interview with him and he said "I've been alive for hundreds of years, nothing phases me." And they did some weird experiments on him to test for his anomalous properties. "I've talked to you many time's."

Perhaps I should make it so SCP-XXXX has actually played a pivotal role in the foundation's success?
Like at some point he helped literally save the world, but no one knows about it. "That damned factory."

This dude has the ability to know the future through previous experience, meaning that he can return to points he set in the past at will, or when he dies (via means I'm yet to think of). This allows him to gain knowledge of upcoming events and avoid them or figure out how to survive them. This allows him to survive even seemingly impossible circumstances.

Item #: XXXX [put in morse]

Object Class: . ..- -.-. .-.. .. -..

Special Containment Procedures: No personnel aside from those trained to work with SCP-XXXX are permitted to come to know of the existence SCP-XXXX, a fake file is to be put in the place of the real file listing on the computer terminals of individuals who do not have KD-level permissions. Any staff designated to begin working with SCP-XXXX are to be administered the Katamik-Daniels test1, formally trained in the usage of morse code, and must pass a battery of proficiency test's in order to assure effective containment. Any persons working with SCP-XXXX are to be re-administered the KD test at an interval of 6 months to test for psychological weakening. If an annual test is failed, class-B amnestics will be administered, and the individual will be assigned to another project that incurs no more than 6% weakening psychological strain.

All communications regarding SCP-XXXX are to be encoded using international Morse code and are to remain encoded in this form. No attempts to decode the messages into another form of communication will be made. Any attempts to do so will be met with immediate termination from work with SCP-XXXX, class-B amnestics will be administered and the individual will be transferred to another project that incurs no more than 6% weakening psychological strain.

Item #:

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be housed at Area-970 for deployment alongside MTF-Trinity-7 ("Hair Triggers") in the event of a catastrophic containment breach at any of the following locations under the protection of Area-970:
Site-11
Site-72
Site-98
Area-42
Area-206

Area-970 was chosen as the permanent residence of SCP-XXXX due to its close relative proximity to the above-listed facilities, and the necessity of an effective re-containment measure at all of the listed facilities.

From: Dr. Gerrald
SCP-XXXX is too dangerous, it's use as an emergency re-containment measure as been discontinued. Please talk to your site supervisor for further details if you have any inquiries.

SCP-XXXX's containment cell is to be sealed by a non-electric, one-ton blast resistant door at the end of a corridor starting with another blast resistant door. SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is a living-room sized cell surrounded by a one-foot-thick layer of concrete. The chamber is to be fitted with only basic amenities including one toilet, one clear glass shower, one full sized bed, and one sink. SCP-XXXX is permitted to receive other requested items that have been approved by Dr. Fremont and Dr. Lukin.

Description: SCP-XXXX was previously a senior level 3 foundation researcher, working at site-06-2, named Dr. ██████ ████. SCP-XXXX is, as of the creation of this document, 29 years of age, 180cm in height, and 69 kg of weight, brown eyes, and black hair.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties consist of the complete resistance to mimetic, cogneto-hazardous, and non-physically activated anomalous/hazardous items or entities, as such, any anomaly that's main effects consist of a non-physical hazard or whose effects can be activated or triggered via non-physical process, cannot harm SCP-XXXX. This does not, however, suggest it is resistant to the effects of all anomalous items and entities e.g. SCP-106, SCP-682, SCP-939, SCP-513. Items and entities such as SCP-1025, SCP-096, or SCP-173 cannot affect, or be triggered by SCP-XXXX, due to the fact that their properties are triggered through a non-physical process. SCP-XXXX is also immune to the effects of anomalous items or entities that's effects are caused by some form of physical contact but are not directly the result of physical contact, instead of by some other anomalous property. Examples include SCP-049, SCP-1123, SCP-1083 or other such anomalies.

Note: SCP's being used as the only examples to explain SCP-XXXX's properties does not suggest that SCP-XXXX's effects apply only to SCP's, but the examples used in the above text where chosen for their ubiquitous knowledge within the foundation, and for the understanding of doctors and researchers using this document as a reference.

Useful bits of critique:

also for the love of all that's good, please think of a story before you think of an anomaly

one thing to take into account as well as what kind of emotion do you want to evoke. It sounds like you're going for sympathy, which is fine, but you should make sure you gear every part of your story toward accomplishing that

Ok. May I suggest that you write this as a Tale? Because this kind of a story is entirely fine if written properly, but I am willing to bet money that as an SCP is will be nye impossible to pull off.
