Item #:SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Only accessible by Level 4 personnel with advanced training in memetic countermeasures. D-Class personnel are viable for experimentation. No D-Class personnel are to be used for testing of SCP-XXXX post experiment-1 and the resulting incident-1. Before testing, all personnel involved must undergo a full mental exam.
A basic cell with observation window and Level 4 keycard locked door are adequate for containment purposes. The cell must have a Faraday cage that is ten meters wide, ten meters long, and three meters high with SCP-XXXX at the exact center (5, 5, 2). Four cameras are to be mounted in each corner; the wires are to go through the reinforced corners to their observation panels and energy sources. Inside the Faraday cage are to be four battery powered transmitters meant to reveal if the Faraday cage has a breach. Battery replacements are to alternate with two day intervals.
If at any point, a camera or transmitter breaks, SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a two meter cubic, metal container and guarded by two Level 4 agents. Repairs are to be made immediately to the required devices, or in the case of a Faraday cage breach, the refurbishing of the entire cell.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a floating sphere, half a meter in diameter with a grid pattern. Its position (X, Y, and Z coordinates) may be changed at any time when enough pressure is applied, but note that it is solid and cannot move through solid matter.
The exact top is a white round spot with the word Stars written in blue letters written all around the edge. The exact bottom is a black round spot with the word Fallen written in firey red letters all around the edge. In the middle lays the “gray zone,” named so due to the gray scale effect between the top and bottom. In the gray zone are multiple rows and columns with each representing a level of a factor or the factor itself respectively. Each column is marked with black letters going vertically, the column represent by the words consist of the space over the letters (over meaning on the “top” of the letters as read normally). The rows follow the same rule, but horizontally.
When a human (personnel interacting with SCP-XXXX will here on out be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) is within roughly one meter of SCP-XXXX and mental intent to use SCP-XXXX rather than move it, it unfolds at the top and bottom, revealing a mass of orbs which are roughly one centimeter in diameter. The orbs float about in a sphere formation until SCP-XXXX-1 touches one, at which point SCP-XXXX-2 and 3 are designated, SCP-XXXX-2 is the chosen orb while SCP-XXXX-3 is the person represented by the chosen orb, and then SCP-XXXX-2 exits the sphere and the sphere closes.
At this point, the orb may be moved to any point in a roughly one meter radius of SCP-XXXX. Blue lights appear in the rows and layers of SCP-XXXX and by touching the intended light, SCP-XXXX-1 may change its position on the Y axis, but not the X axis and the X axis, and the light returns to its original position about three seconds after SCP-XXXX-1 stops moving said light. By moving the selected light, SCP-XXXX-1 may change various aspects of SCP-XXXX-3’s personality.
-Dr. ### volunteers for test.
-Physic eval. conducted on Dr. ###. Dr. ### passes physic eval.
-Subject ordered to approach SCP-XXXX.
-At one meter, the sphere opens.
-Subject ordered to touch one of the orbs and view the information on subject linked to the orb.
-Subject complies. Subject reports viewing information on Agent ###.
-SCP-XXXX-3 (Agent ###) is then asked about his middle name. SCP-XXXX-3 did not comply in giving his middle name.
-SCP-XXXX-3 then asked to give a name, even if not his true middle name. SCP-XXXX-3 then gives the name Ryan.
-Subject is then ordered to raise Honesty/Dishonesty to max possible layer.
-Subject raises Honesty/Dishonesty light to “Nigh-on-Perfect,” which is just bellow “Star.”
- SCP-XXXX-3 is asked what his middle name is.
- SCP-XXXX-3 responds “My name is Fitzgerald.”
-Subject then ordered to lower Honesty/Dishonesty to lowest layer.
-Subject lowers Honesty/Dishonesty light to “Nigh-on-Abomination,” which is just above “Fallen.”
-SCP-XXXX-3 is asked what his middle name is.
- SCP-XXXX-3 states “Oh come on, you know its Curtis.”
-Subject then ordered to leave containment cell of SCP-XXXX.
-Subject complies.
End Log
Note: The light was observed to take three seconds to return to original position.
Note 2: Subject also reports Agent ### being the last person he thought of before touching the orb. This suggest that the collection of orbs is representative and does not actually randomly select person whom they effect, but rather are based off of who the subject thinks of last. Further testing requested in this field.
Testing request pending. Approved.
Addendum 1: SCP-XXXX was found during a raid in the office of Professor Nemur at Algernon Polytechnic along with SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX. The full report on the raid may be found: here.
Addendum 2: During T-XXXX-1/I-XXXX-1, the subject reported seeing information on SCP-XXXX-3. Full list of possible information found in the L-XXXX-1 document.
-D-XXXX-1 is introduced to the holding cell of SCP-XXXX and ordered to approach.
-At roughly one meter from SCP-XXXX, the sphere begins to open, revealing a collection of blue orbs.
-Subject is ordered to touch one of the orbs and upon doing so the subject yells and moves back from the sphere as the selected orb moves out of the cluster.
-Subject reports seeing information on Dr. #### as the sphere closes and the orbs comes to a rest near the subject’s face.
-Lights appear in various places on the sphere.
-Subject smiles and touches a light (latter found to be linked to the Love/Hate row) and “pulls” it down without orders.
-Dr. #### then moves towards the cell door, takes Agent ####’s sidearm, opens the door, and fires three times at the subject.
-Subject falls to the ground, having been hit in the chest by all rounds fired and his hand falls from the light.
-The, as of yet unknown, three second delay lapses and Dr. #### returns to normal state of mind.
-Dr. #### then stares at his hands before dropping the gun.
-Agent #### promptly tackles Dr. #### and detains him.
End Log
Note: Request for investigation into incident and termination of Dr. ####.
Investigation conducted and termination request denied.
Note 2: Request that D-Class personnel no longer be allowed access to SCP-XXXX
Request approved.
Note 3: Subject likely assumed that by “increasing Hate” and “decreasing Love” he would cause SCP-XXXX-3 to attack staff or otherwise disrupt the test. Obviously this plan backfired.

Addendum 3: The radius of SCP-XXXX’s effects is roughly one-hundred kilometers. The extent of the effect also tapers off at one percent for every kilometer, with a person ninety-nine kilometers away having only a slight change in social interaction. Though the radius is reduced to one kilometer if SCP-XXXX is placed in a Faraday cage and the effective distance is one percent for every ten meters. The discovery of this is expanded upon in Test Log of T-XXXX-3. This test also revealed that memetic resistance works to dampen SCP-XXXX’s effects.
-One person placed throughout the facility at various point over two hundred kilomaters (yes, this extended far outside of the)
-Dr. ## volunteers as SCP-XXXX-1 and undergoes physic eval.
-Dr. ## approved for testing purposes.
-Subject enters SCP-XXXX's containment cell and is ordered to approach.
-At one meter from subject, SCP-XXXX opens up.
-Subject ordered to think of D-XXXX-2 (currently two hundred kilometers away) and touch an orb.
-Subject complies and states that nothing happened.
-Subject then ordered to repeat, but thinking of D-XXXX-3 (currently one hundred fifty
kilometers away).
-Subject complies and states that nothing happened.
-Subject then ordered to repeat, but thinking of D-XXXX-4 (currently one hundred kilometers
away)
-Subject complies, this time reporting affirmative.
-Teams handling D-XXXX-2, 3 and 5 recalled, while team handling D-XXXX-4 is sent one hundred ten kilometers away.
-Subject ordered to repeat.
-Subject replies in the negative.
-Team handling D-XXXX-4 is ordered one hundred one kilometers away.
-Subject ordered to repeat.
-Subject replies in negative.
-Max radius determined to be one hundred kilometers.
-Test repeated with Faraday cage.
-Radius found to be reduced to one kilometer.
-Test conducted to find the effect drop off (seeing how much behavior changed over distances) both with and without Faraday cage.
-Without found to have one percent drop off for every kilometer.
-With found to have one percent drop off for every ten meters.
-Test then redone with personnel who have extensive anti-memetic training.
-Effects reduced by fifty percent
End Log
Note: Faraday cage and personnel with anti-memetic training requested to be added to containment procedure SCP-XXXX
Request approved.
Note 2: Some complaints have come up that this test violated the no use of D-Classes in testing SCP-XXXX, but I want to clarify that these meant D-Class should not directly interact with SCP-
XXXX, but may still be used as SCP-XXXX-3 candidates. -Dr. @@@
Addendum 4: The layers seem to represent good and evil, with the top being good and the bottom being evil. The rows represent various ways in which people act, such as Honesty/Dishonesty and Love/Hate. Research is ongoing as to whether these systems are actually represent how morals are truly measured, or if this an effect from how someone thinks morals are measured. Full lists of original moral set and latest version are found in documents L-XXXX-2 and L-XXXX-3.

Addendum 5: After T-XXXX-4, it has been discovered that SCP-XXXX does in fact gain its “moral standards” from those who interact with it, though this only becomes obvious when it is in the presence of those with more complex, and theoretically more accurate, “moral standards;” further details in Test Log of T-XXXX-4.
-After some time searching, a person with a different moral structure was found: Dr. #.
-Dr. # underwent a physic eval. and passed.
-Subject ordered to approach SCP-XXXX.
-At one meter away from subject, SCP-XXXX began to change into current state.
-SCP-XXXX then opened.
-Subject ordered to think of D-XXXX-6 and touch one of the orbs.
-Subject complied and viewed information on D-XXXX-6, now more extensive.
-Sphere closes and subject ordered to move one of the lights up.
-Subject complies.
-Team monitoring D-XXXX-6 states that D-XXXX-6 began acting kind and willing to share his food with other inmates. This continues for three minutes.
-Subject then ordered to lower the light.
-Subject complies.
-Team monitoring D-XXXX-6 reports that he then becomes “overly kind” and “shares more than logical," one report states "he is on the verge of assaulting those who do not eat the food he shares with them." This continues for three minutes.
-Testing ends.
-Team monitoring D-XXXX-6 reports a return to original behavior.
End Log
Note: This new system is still in need of continued research. Attempts by Dr. # to explain the concept are underway, though hindered by Dr. #’s work on other projects taking up most of his time. Request to have Dr. # as part of the SCP-XXXX team.
Request approved.
Object #: SCP-RoJ
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-RoJ is currently held in a 3x3 meter containment cell with a key card locked door that requires Level 2 access.
Level 2 personnel and above observe SCP-RoJ and are involved in maintaining its cell and secrecy. Level 3 personnel and above are required to oversee any experiments involving instances of SCP-RoJ-B.
Unless currently being used for a test, all instances of SCP-RoJ-B are to remain on SCP-RoJ-A. Tests on SCP-RoJ-A and the physical anomalies of SCP-RoJ-B require an addition to the official test log before and after the test is conducted. Exploratory missions require a written plan being sent to the head of the RoJ-RT (Research Team) three days prior to the mission; once the mission has been approved and the three days passed, the mission may be conducted.
The current general standard for exploration missions is that the subject wears clothing that appears appropriate for SCP-RoJ-C, the exploration team is armed, and rations to last each member 7 days.
If transport is required, on site or to a new site, then SCP-XXXX-A, with all instances of SCP-XXXX-B, is to be covered in 4-6 centimeters of standard issue Bio-Foam. During transport, SCP-XXXX-A is to be placed in a small item containment unit with foam inner and outer linings to reduce the chance of the foam breaking.
Description:
SCP-RoJ-A appears to be a hand formed with black wax. The hand is shorter (finger to wrist) than the average human hand but thicker (palm to back). Multiple attempts have been made to recreate SCP-RoJ-A, but the recreations do not appear to have the same physical properties.
SCP-RoJ-B references a set of four rings: SCP-RoJ-B-1 is bronze with minimal engraving, SCP-RoJ-B-2 is silver with moderate additions, SCP-RoJ-B-3 is gold with multiple additions with engravings on the inside, SCP-RoJ-B-4 is glass with various additions and engravings.
The force exerted on SCP-RoJ-B in the presence of a human hand appears to follow the inverse square law. In short, SCP-RoJ-B reacts to a hand like a magnet to metal.
The physical reaction of SCP-RoJ-B being in the presence of SCP-RoJ-A is double that of a human hand, thus leading to the conclusion that SCP-RoJ-A has some form of link between SCP-RoJ-B. It is unknown if SCP-RoJ-A can cause SCP-RoJ-B’s activation events.
Its greater anomalous effects are activated through “entering” or “exiting” any space, including doors, pockets, drawers, et cetera, with the hand on which the instance of SCP-RoJ-B is located.
The original discovery suggested the displacement events only related to doorways, but XXXX-I-7 revealed that other means, such as placing the hand with SCP-XXXX-B in one’s pocket, may activate the anomaly. Displacement events occur by chance when entering or exiting and result in the subject being transported to a random location in one of two distinct realms. (See addendum X for details on the probabilities of a displacement event).
If a displacement event has been caused by a subject placing the hand with an instance of SCP-RoJ-B in a pocket for example, then the subject and “portal” will be transported to the location and the portal will be inaccessible by other personnel, but if the event is caused by the entire subject entering or exiting a door for example, then the portal will be large enough for further people being sent through.
The first realm, SCP-RoJ-C, appears to be an actual world where subjects have encountered other people, creatures and items as well as observed multiple events while in SCP-RoJ-C. Subjects who have managed to communicate with some of the people and creatures have noted that A) that they show great confusion at the subject’s current clothing (as until recently no attempts have been made to dress like those seen in SCP-RoJ-C), B) that they inquire whether the subject is a spy or affiliated with various groups (names given include: Chusia, Rymad, Nurglind, and fairies), C) that some show a hostility to the subjects, D) that some form of infighting is occurring with these various groups. Research into this world is ongoing. All accounts also indicate that this realm follows a normal timeline.
The second realm, SCP-RoJ-D appears to be an infinite castle of varying forms, styles and states of disrepair. These differences are not from different explorations, but may be found within the same exploration. Still, another effect of being taken to SCP-RoJ-D is that each jump occurs at a different time, some in the past and some in the future. The reason for this conclusion is the observation of a party apparently from SCP-RoJ-C and the ███ ████ over the three trips so far. It is unknown the number of times exploration teams might encounter the “Nurglind Party” and thus extra rations are recommended to assist in their mission. As of RoJ-T-49, it is recommended that personnel carry a ballistic weapon when entering the portals. The reason for this is [REDACTED] which resulted in the loss of:
Addendum 1: At one point during the search for the link between SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B, junior researcher Carter asked if an attempt had been made to find the contents of SCP-XXXX-A. Until that point, the only tests on SCP-XXXX-A’s contents had been on the wax and its properties, none of which are anomalous. Carter advised an X-Ray test to detect the presence of other materials. The X-Ray resulted in the discovery of a skeletal, human hand. A new avenue as to the history of SCP-XXXX has been opened as it is presumed that the hand would belong to the creator or would have otherwise been used in its creation.
Addendum 2: Multiple tests have been conducted to find the probability of the SCP-RoJ-B causing a displacement when going through –doors—anything. Doors have a roughly 1/5 chance, non-door entry/exits have a roughly 1/20, and when the item is covered (by folding something over it, covering it in foam, et cetera) has not been observed to cause such an event in the 33 times that it has been tested/transported in such a fashion.
Of the 94 total tests, only three have resulted in teleportation to SCP-RoJ-D and nine have led to SCP-RoJ-C.
Discovery notes/Incident 1: On 15/6/2033, an unauthorized entry to the recently constructed Site 49. Security noted a humanoid with medieval clothing standing in hallway 2 in the security center. A team was dispatched to capture the subject, footage confirms their reports that the subject was repeatedly walking through the doorway. The team restrained the subject and placed him in a nearby security cell. After a short interrogation, the security team had isolated how the subject had entered the site and his reason for being there. [Interview bellow] After further discussion he agreed to relinquish his anomalous items. He is currently held in Humanoid Containment Cell 1.
Incident 7 (WIP)
Test 49 (WIP)
Item #: SCP-ZPH
Special Containment Procedures:
• —Held in Safe class item storage.—
• Held in one of three currently constructed anti-static rooms on site 21.
• Blueprints for additional construction of anti-static rooms may be found in Anti-Static Room Blueprint.
• Any metal objects are to be removed before interacting with SCP-SPH. Only plastics and plant and animal products are to be used.
• All personnel interacting with SCP-ZPH must discharge static electricity at the observation room door using the lightning rod.
• Personnel are also required to wear arc-reduction suits. Details on suits and additional fabrication are found in Arc-Reduction Suit Blueprint.
• Tests using any electric components on SCP-ZPH are to be carried out in the modified anti-static room. Blueprints for additional construction of modified static rooms may be found in Anti-Static Testing Chamber.
• Test on SCP-ZPH are not to use more than X grains of available powder and a note must be made of the amount used.
• Dr. Michel (also known as Mickey) is to be notified before testing on SCP-ZPH or accessing relevant blueprints. Request for testing and access to relevant blueprints on SCP-ZPH are to be ratified by Dr. Michel. Dr. Michel is responsible for all testing request.
Note by Dr. Michel: for those of you who don’t seem to understand. Stop giving me request. I am in charge now. I will devise the test and decide when blueprints need viewing. You are only responsible for carrying out those orders.
Description:
• SCP-ZPH consist of three parts, designated -A, -B, and –C.
• SCP-ZPH-A is a powder horn that appears to be made of bone, though it matches no known species, a leather strap for carrying the powder horn and a leather cap for sealing it.
• SCP-ZPH-B is a plant that grows from the pointed end of SCP-ZPH-A. It has a blue/gray hue and creates a mesh around the bone part of the powder horn (further information pending: …and the leather cap where it has a permanent connection around the “hinge point” though a separable connection around the rest of the seal.)
• SCP-ZPH-B also appears to absorb electricity, even using it as a food source. Thus, if not given a proper source of electricity, it will feed on SCP-ZPH-C.
• SCP-ZPH-C is a purple/blue powder much like gun powder. Further analysis suggests that it is most similar to some of the oldest known black powder. It is separated into grains weighing X (metric units) each. Unlike normal gun powder, SCP-ZPH-C reacts to static electricity and creates an electric arc when activated. It also appears to be rendered unusable if exposed to various plastics or rubbers in the same way that gun powder is affected by water.
• Currently, the reason for SCP-ZPH-C’s anomalous properties, its origin, and if it may be weaponised are all under research.
Item #: SCP-AB
Containment Procedures:
• SCP-AB-A and SCP-AB-B are to be kept in separate Euclid class storage lockers to prevent a Helen-Class event. Current containment involves a storage locker, that requires an ID from a researcher currently on the SCP-AB team, and a locked aluminum box, with the key for SCP-AB-A in possession of Dr. Paris and the key for SCP-AB-B in possession of Dr. Homer.
• All staff on the SCP-AB team require a physiological exam on a monthly basis with one person being chosen at random every week. No personnel are to be recruited to the SCP-AB team if they exhibit an emotional compromise.
• No testing on SCP-AB is to involve one person wearing both bracelets.
Dr. Paris Note: Don’t even let them touch. Heck, if we didn’t let them get within 3 meters of each other, that would be great.
Description:
• SCP-AB consist of two parts designated –A and –B.
• SCP-AB-A is a gold bracelet, roughly X cm in diameter, with red inlay on the outside. All tests involving SCP-AB-A suggest that only females are capable of wearing it.
• SCP-AB-B is a gold bracelet roughly X cm in diameter, with blue inlay on the outside. Tests indicate that only males are able to wear it.
• The inlay consists of liquid gold upon chemical analysis of S-AB-A and S-AB-B. The inlay is not the temperature expected of liquid gold, X degrees Celsius, and retains a hue that is not natural to gold, though there is no indication of paints or stains used to color it.
• When worn separately, each bracelet appears to turn the focus each subject wearing an instance to deciding those who “require marriage.” A description commonly used and confirmed by subjects and observers is that it “turns them into the arbiters of love itself.” The subjects appear to use logic to determine which people would “pair best” and then report to the nearest person of authority that “a couple is fit.” There does not appear to be an anomalous effect to these declarations.
• The only experiment which one person was given both bracelets resulted in the first Helen-Class event. In the experiment, the (male) subject was ordered to wear SCP-AB-B, and then ordered to wear SCP-AB-A. As the bracelet was placed on the subject, he noticeably turned a light shade of pink, at which point, he began the same logical debate as to the best pairs as with other subjects during separated tests. After making a decision, the subject forcibly compelled staff to interact in various manners. While this odd behavior was noted at the time, further analysis revealed that each action led to the “couple” meeting one another.
• During the event, one researcher attempted to end the test. The subject became noticeably enraged and began to physically and mentally attack the researcher. A containment breach was announced and attempts to contain the subject began. Only when a probe armed with rounds was able to stop the subject. All teams sent to contain the subject previously had been either destroyed or otherwise rendered incapacitated.
• (Alternate incident pending)
Item #: SCP-AH
Special Containment Procedures:
• SCP-AH is to be kept in a Safe class storage locker.
• Tests using SCP-AH have been placed on hold due to its value in countering various anomalies.
Description:
• SCP-AH is a helmet resembling a Roman legionnaires helmet with the exception of a faceplate that rotates to the top of the helmet.
• The face plate itself appears to be a representation of an owl’s face.
• SCP-AH was recovered during the exploration of SCP-RoJ. It had been held in the recovered items unit on site 27 until I-[undefined]-1.
• During the incident, a level 1 researcher had been “checking inventory” and placed the helmet on his head, reason not stated though it is suspected that the researcher was not following proper procedure to say the least. When the researcher encountered SCP-[undefined] in the storage room, he did not experience effects observed with other personnel exposed to SCP-[undefined]. SCP-[undefined] was also observed to avoid the researcher. After exiting the room, the researcher had not taken the helmet off, assembly to his priorities being elsewhere, and proceeded to report a containment breach.
• A full transcript of this event is found in I-[undefined]-1.
• After the incident, the researcher was the temporary head of the newly created SCP-AH team. A level 3 researcher then took his place, though requested that he be kept as an apprentice for leading the team.
• Thaumiel classification and testing are pending, though if approved all testing shall be suspend further.
Saturday, at 7:21 AM, Stuliger Maynard woke up on a day like any other. It was all right. He did what he does on any other day. He worked, he played, he did chores, he played video games, he played music, he chilled with friend, all that usual stuff on a usual day. After dinner, Stuliger went to his room and read on various forums, wikis, and the like. A perfectly normal and uneventful day that was nothing of note. But he was feeling a bit rebellious, he wanted to do something different, and so he did.
Saturday, at 10:49 PM, Stuliger Maynard crawled out of his bedroom window and began walking down the street to the place where his friend, Nora Pfaff, lived. He had just texted her and was smiling at the thought of hanging out. He walked, they talked, they gamed, they thought, they were silent, they were happy, all the stuff in a usual life. After saying goodbye, Stuliger left Nora's and began to head back home. A perfectly normal life that was going as expected. But he was feeling happy, he wanted to think about the good times he and Nora had, and so he did.
Sunday, at 12:00 AM, on his way back from Nora's house, Stuliger did not have a normal day, or a normal life, and he likely never would again. Stuliger just began puking his guts out, he had no warning, he just started and kept going for half a minute, but after he finished coughing up his dinner, there was nothing on the ground. He was more focused on his newfound headache, so he did not pick up on this. After continuing forward a bit and leaning on a chain-link fence for a moment, he felt ready to keep going home.
He walked, he walked, he read a street sign that he could not read, he continued walking…he realized something was wrong. The sign was backwards. The letters and spelling were both reversed. He knew the street well enough to know it should say "Donna St." but, it was backwards. Stuliger assumed sleep deprivation was the cause as he had stayed up well into the wee hours of the morning for the past couple of days, commenting in the forum of a new website he found, and had to wake up less than four hours after. He continued walking, trying to to focus on anything but the jackhammer on the inside of his brain.
As he tries to find something to think about, he sees a flier on a telephone pole. Reading could drive his focus from the pain after all, so he shambles up to it. He soon realizes he can't. The letters are backwards and all jumbled…or are they? He begins to read backwards, from the top right of the page to the left. "Missing dog, age 3, boxer, brown with black spots and white underbelly,…" he translated. Stuliger stops. He must have gone crazy. Something he ate, something he drank, did he hit his head? Whatever the case, he needed to find help. Should he go home or to the hospital…or to Nora? His parents would wonder why he was out at all, maybe he could play it off or avoid mentioning he was out, but what about his current state? What would they do? Would they lock him up as crazy? No, he probably just had some simple mental disorder that messed with his ability to read, like..what was it, Dialectia? Yeah, that's probably all there is to it. He has no need to go to the hospital, plus, his parents would find out and be mad at him for not coming to them first. And why should he go to Nora? What good would that do? But…it couldn't hurt. Might as well go back and talk to her anyways…or something…why did he want to go see her again? It took Stuliger all of 7 seconds to think about this and make his decision. Nora was closer after all.
Stuliger grabs his phone and begins to text Nora…odd…the words seem okay here…maybe it had something to do with the screen canceling out his disorder thing. He continues, sending the text as he walks with all haste to her house. As he reaches her street he gets a response…it is written backwards. Stuliger groans as he continues to feel like his mind is falling apart, but at least the pain has subsided. He takes a minute to translate it, "What is this? How did you do that? This some kinda joke?" Stuliger rereads the text he sent, thoroughly confused. Was going back to Nora's a bad idea? He was just two houses away, might as well talk with her.
Sunday, at 12:35 AM, Stuliger taps on the Nora's bedroom window. She swings them open, only slowing them down so they would not bang against the wall. She scolds him, he replies, she grows confused, she reveals a secret that Stuliger did not even know was a secret. Nora is right handed. She's always been that way. Stuliger had seen her beautiful hand writing before. He was confused, he told her this, he asked her what was up. She nearly yelled, she berated him, he knew nothing, she explained, she did not know why, neither did he. He showed her his phone. She looked at him. She teared up. “How can this be?” she asked. He knew the answer, but not why it should be asked. He still did not believe that humanity could call being righthanded an abomination. She cried. They hugged. They were both confused.
Sunday, at 1:14, Stuliger again felt odd, he felt dizzy, he held Nora tight. Neither knew how much time passed, but they both held on to support themselves. Nora was so light headed, she almost fell over. As his mind cleared, Stuliger noticed something about the room. It had changed. A few items were strewn about, but shredded paper took the most space. Stuliger’s eyes soon landed on a red stain behind Nora. He widened his eyes, he looked at her, he asked if she was okay, and she was.
They heard footsteps, Nora’s father called out, he came through the door, his mouth hung agape and eyes dart around the room. Stuliger tried to explain, but the blood, the items strewn across the room, and his mere presence at this hour appeared as damming evidence against him. Nora’s father knocked him out and called the police, Nora pleaded with him and showed him that she was unscathed. While slightly confused, Nora’s father continued to call the police and told her to go to the kitchen. She followed his orders. She sat at the table. She cried. She saw a piece of paper with words on it. They were written from left to right, what she considered backwards.
Nora is out of that world. She is in this one now. She told this to Stuliger before he was taken away. She even got to say thank you. The Nora from this world was killed by the Stuliger from the other. In the other world, righthanded people were seen as demons and killed upon discovery, of course, some people still developed it. Nora was one of those people, only she and her mother knew that. Her mother taught her how to write with both hands. It was their little secret, until she died in a car crash, the same one that left her father with a limp, a limp she noticed in the man she just talked to.
When the Stuligers fell into each other’s worlds, they fell in the exact spot they left their own, they made similar choices. One could see them and their choices as mirror images, up until they talked with their respective Noras. The other Stuliger was taken to jail for the murder of Nora Pfaff, though he claimed he had evidence that she was a righty. He escaped. No one knew how but he did. Some claim he still walks the streets. The real Stuliger was charged with trespassing and assault. Nora’s father refused to let her testify. Stuliger’s testimony earned him a first-class ticket to the luny-bin. Over the next few months, he went in and out of these mad worlds. Various hospitals used him as an example of schizophrenia, they wrote his escapes and attempts at being re-admitted as split personality, one where he was clever and could pull off elaborate escapes and another where he wanted to be locked up.
That Saturday was the last normal day of his life. It was the last time he ever loved the Nora he knew, even if she turned out to be fake. Somehow, the last love he had was with a woman he did not know, from a world that was not his, but it was the first time he ever loved the true Nora Pfaff. Stuliger knew this, he did not know how or why, he had a feeling, a reassurance, a thought, he just knew, he could not explain it if he wanted to, but why would he ever talk about this story in the first place? Why would he ever talk about that Sunday which marked a beginning of a nightmare?
—Why would I talk about that? Why am I? I hate that day. I hate that it ever happened, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I know that something good came of it. I don’t know what, but I know. I guess I’m using blind faith among scientists then aren’t I? Is that what they call irony? —
I Stuliger was later transferred to the “Foundation.” They’re a group of scientists that specialize in keeping the abnormal out of site, that includes me Stuliger. They have some kind of fancy explanation for it, sure, but no one truly understands it. But Stuliger’s assistance resulted in the discovery of multiple potential threats and ways to neutralize others. Today, he is more commonly known as SCP-507.
Notes: I need to type this up, remove the first person pronouns and any second person ones and that stupid soliloquy.
Pain, you made me a, made me a believer
Cheesy, taking stinking song lyrics, gah.
What if I explain it
“Pain, the pain I suffer for having this ability, drove me to
Nah, no need. Maybe if I take out references to the Foundation, they would allow me to post it online as a creppypasta or something, if they do then I don’t need to tell people my beliefs, I'm sure people would just bash me for believing in anything anyways, this is the internet after all.
