Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard safe object lockup on Site-23. SCP-XXXX should be kept maintained, and supplied with ink cartridges and paper. Any objects produced by SCP-XXXX are to be reviewed by MTF-Theta-33 "People Watchers" for sensitive information. If no compromising data is recovered, the objects produced are to be stored in the on-site library. Foundation personnel are allowed to borrow objects stored in this fashion. Personnel intending to borrow SCP-XXXX objects must seek approval from the Ethics Committee. Objects with a subject regarding sensitive Foundation events, persons, or protocols should be stored with SCP-XXXX and are only allowed to be accessed during testing.

As per the ECXXXX ruling, screenings of films produced by SCP-XXXX are discontinued indefinitely. This is due to the inappropriate use of SCP-XXXX as entertainment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation of a linked system of electronics. This system consists of one (1) printer, two (2) monitors, one (1) keyboard, and one (1) personal computer.1 When connected to a power source, SCP-XXXX will display text, which reads "Subject Of Film:" with an input bar several inches below. When one inputs the name of a deceased individual of the species homo sapiens, SCP-XXXX will activate.

During SCP-XXXX's activation phase, the object will begin printing a screenplay with a title referring to a major life event concerning the subject of said screenplay. Simultaneously, the monitors will display text to indicate that footage is being rendered. Said rendering process takes between two (2) days and two (2) weeks, however shorter and longer periods have been observed. Once rendering is completed, a final cut of the film becomes available for download.

SCP-XXXX creates posthumous biographical films and screenplays (when both are referred to, they are called "objects"), wherein the subject is framed as the protagonist. Footage from SCP-XXXX appears to feature the actual persons and events from the subjects life, as opposed to actors presenting a facsimile of actual events. The means in which SCP-XXXX acquires footage is currently unknown.

Addendum: Summaries of films produced by SCP-XXXX can be found below. Excerpts from SCP-XXXX's "Director Commentary Mode" are also attached, along with reason for production and researcher reception of the films.
