Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Members of SCP-XXXX are to be contained in a 30 m x 30 m enclosed room composed of a toughened metal. A mixture of dirt and sand native to the deserts of [REDACTED] is to be spread out along the floor. Multiple air filtration systems are installed and must undergo maintenance individually, weekly. A pressurized room separates the containment from outside.

The simulated habitat is to be cleaned biweekly, during which all variants of SCP-XXXX must be incapacitated using a gaseous anesthetic for 15 30 minutes (See Incident Log XXXX014) before entry. All staff must wear Level B Hazmat Protective Gear before entering the containment zone. The enclosure must be checked for signs of damage along the walls and floors. Replacement of enclosure panels is performed during cleaning operations.

If an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 develops, the subject is to be terminated if posing an immediate danger to staff. If the subject can be subdued, then it is to be captured and interviewed, then monitored for one week after. The subject can then return to normal activities or duties.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of quadrupedal humanoid creatures, capable of short-term bipedal movement. During bipedal movement specimens have been recorded ranging from 2 to 5 meters in height. Members of SCP-XXXX are hairless, blind, and unintelligent have been recorded to display feats of intelligence, such as simple problem solving. Due to blindness, instances of SCP-XXXX have heightened senses of smell and hearing.

The species has been noted to divide itself by gender, the males being more submissive and easily controlled than the females. The skin of male variants is blue in color. The skin of female variants is dark red in color. Both genders have three claws extending .2 m from the end of each limb. The Foundation has captured and contained fifteen (15) female specimens and twenty-four (24) male specimens currently.

SCP-XXXX-A is the designation for the current leader of the species. The specimens organize in a canine-like pack, designating an alpha to lead and defend their members. SCP-XXXX-A is significantly more aggressive towards any non-SCP-XXXX beings than other specimens, with the exception of SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-A, following establishment of superiority, will build a nest out of discarded pieces of previous hunts. It also is capable of commanding members of the opposite gender through a series of vocalizations to perform menial tasks. SCP-XXXX-A is currently a female member of the species, and has a large scar running down its back.

SCP-XXXX-1 is the designation for pheromones released by both male and female specimens. After initial testing, it has been determined that when inhaled, SCP-XXXX-1 affects the neurons within the brain, resulting in an extreme increase in dopamine level within subjects. Additionally, hallucinogenic and muscle-relaxant compounds have been detected within the pheromones. Multiple tests have confirmed that the release of SCP-XXXX-1 by males is for finding a mate, while females release SCP-XXXX-1 to hunt. Following dissection of multiple cadavers, both genders of SCP-XXXX are immune to the hallucinatory effects and dopamine increase caused by the pheromones due to visual impairment and an inability to properly process dopamine within the brain. The effects of the pheromones have been recorded to last for up to six (6) hours, and remain within the bloodstream for up to fifteen (15) hours. The substance may does have an addictive aspect to it for those exposed.

SCP-XXXX-2 is the designation for any being under the effects of SCP-XXXX-1. Animals that inhale SCP-XXXX-1 have been observed to become passive and lethargic, allowing for female SCP-XXXX to approach with ease. Humans under the effect of SCP-XXXX-1 have reported vivid visual hallucinations and the feeling of euphoria. Rare cases (00.3% of subjects) have experienced auditory hallucinations. Reactions to SCP-XXXX-1 vary per person.

SCP-XXXX was discovered in the middle-eastern country of [REDACTED]. The Foundation was notified that local inhabitants began to spread rumors that a cultural legend known as Djinn had returned and was “granting people their deepest desires”, along with the reported disappearance of ███ people. The Foundation investigated and all instances of SCP-XXXX were quickly obtained. Class-B amnesiacs were administered to any witnesses of the creatures.
