Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx will be held in a standard containment chamber. SCP-xxxx must be fully submerged in a 3x3x3 meter wide tank. The tank must be refilled with water every 3 hours by any available personnel. A timer to correspond with SCP-xxxx’s tank will be kept in the break room. Failure to refill the tank could result in containment breach, and incendiary catastrophe.

Description: SCP-xxxx is a meteorite-like figure spanning from about 50 centimeters to 3 meters, and has a great number of glowing holes on the surface. (Holes do not glow when submerged in water.) Figure is said to be constantly "breathing." Its width and height change about 50 cm every hour. SCP-xxxx has been found to be indeed sentient, and possibly intelligent.

SCP-xxxx was found in ██████, CA. Retrieved by █████ Jacobson, the figure was first found lodged into the ground, origin unknown. Jacobson, while holding the figure, stated that he "Could feel it pulsing, like it was alive." It was said that an instance of SCP-xxxx-1, described as a small slug-like creature of fire, leaped out of the figure and glided around Jacobson's body before reducing him to ash.

The man accompanying Jacobson, Dr. █████, then contacted us. Foundation personnel were quickly sent out to retrieve the figure for containment.

Test a-1:

Description: Exposure to water
Procedure: SCP-xxxx was fully submerged in water, and taken out 30 minutes later. SCP-xxxx's "Breathing" was calmer than when it was submerged, and when taken out of the tank, reverted back to it's standard breathing pattern.
Analysis: SCP-xxxx's exposure to water has been proven successful for containment without harm. Plans on finding a means to communicate with SCP-xxxx are pending.
