SCP-XXXX (The Porcelain Doll)

SCP-XXXX

Euclid Class
Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a 5 m x 5 m x 5 m chamber comprised of 12 cm thick steel plating. The only entrance to the chamber should be a double set of blast doors. No items that may produce fibers are to be brought or worn in the chamber . The Artifact is to be stored in six(6) separate pieces; the limbs and torso stored individually within six(6) locked steel boxes that are bolted to the floor or ceiling, the head is to be kept upon a pedestal in the center of the room.
All personnel seeking entrance to the chamber are required to wear full hazardous environment suits to prevent loose hair and clothing fibers from entering the chamber. Level 4 clearance or, approval from Dr. ███████ or Dr. ███████ is required to enter the chamber. Do not, under any circumstances, come into physical contact with the artifact without wear hand protection such as gloves.

Description: The object appears to be a child’s porcelain doll resembling a Ballerina. There are anchor points on the surface of the artifact that are used to secure lines, allowing SCP-XXXX to be used like a marionette. When active, the object is suspended from a series of strings which appear to connect to the ceiling, but in reality extend to a length of 12 m vertically.
Upon making physical contact with the object, the subject (now referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) describes a numbing sensation in the body part that came into direct contact with SCP-XXXX, this is the first of many stages. The stages are as following:

  1. Numbing of contact area.
  2. Further numbing of body, joints begin to stiffen.
  3. SCP-XXXX-1 is nearly immobilized and lacks sensation in all areas of the body, subject begins drifting in and out of consciousness.
  4. Subject loses consciousness after four (4) hours, Body enters state that is physically akin to rigor-mortise. Bone-like deposits appear on subjects skin.
  5. Subject becomes encased in bone-like material at a point of five (5) hours, Subject is dead for all intensive purposes.
  6. Hour six (6), SCP-XXXX-1 reanimates. The creature now resembles a life-sized Porcelain doll, though lacking a face.

At phase six (6) SCP-XXXX-1 no longer responds to outside stimuli and is driven to free and reconstruct SCP-XXXX. Upon completion of this task, it becomes a sort of body guard and slave to the fragile marionette; seemingly following its commands without question. Any instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be terminated on site, without hesitation. The transformation and reanimation process is reduced to a matter of minutes on cadavers. At this time there is no discernible reason as to why this occurs.
SCP-XXXX was recovered on 26/09/199▇ outside of [REDACTED]. The operation was carried out by [REDACTED] of retrieval team Delta 2-E. The artifact was found among ██ instances of SCP-XXXX-1, which attacked Delta 2-E on sight. Retrieval team minor casualties.
When attempting to capture SCP-XXXX, retrieval teams are instructed to attempt to sever the lines suspending the artifact as close to the main body as possible without coming into contact with the doll itself. This will immobilize SCP-XXXX and render it nearly harmless. If possible without endangering yourself or others, return the artifact to it’s chamber.
