SCP-XXXX at site of retrieval.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 6x6 meter enclosure fitted with a Queen-sized bed. The bed, along with the enclosure is to be continuously decontaminated by heat. SCP-XXXX is not allowed to roam in the facility, and all staff wishing to conduct experiments on SCP-XXXX must wear Level-4 biohazard protection, and report immediately to the medical center to be tested for possible ricin poisoning and Toxoplasma gondii infection.

Personnel are advised to not approach SCP-XXXX under any case, and all instances of SCP-XXXX found outside containment are to be euthanized and incinerated at Incinerator-345-A. In case of a a breach by SCP-XXXX, no personnel shall approach SCP-XXXX without Level-4 biohazard protection, and maximum effort to prevent SCP-XXXX from exiting the facility shall be utilized. All personnel exposed to SCP-XXXX shall be examined thoroughly for T. gondii infection, ricin poisoning, and the presence of SCP-XXXX embryos. In suspected instances of SCP-XXXX instances outside of the facility, local and national health services and disease control services are to be contacted promptly. SCP-XXXX instances are to be terminated on sight outside the facility due to their potential to cause widespread infection.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large brown female Maine Coon feline, that appears to be around seven (7) years of age. SCP-XXXX was retrieved at ██████, Maine, USA, in a medium-sized house in an suburban neighborhood. At the site of retrieval, SCP-XXXX appeared to roam freely around the house, however, the mutilated corpses of the occupants of the house showed increased levels of ricin and T. gondii eggs and larvae. Numerous kittens, deemed SCP-XXXX-1 were also found at the site. SCP-XXXX was taken as a pet by Agent-██, who expired of ricin poisoning fifteen (15) days after acquiring SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX is observed to secrete the cytotoxic lectin ricin, and harbor eggs of T. gondii. The teeth of SCP-XXXX are similar to normal cat teeth in shape and size, however the teeth of SCP-XXXX contain a small tube, analogous to that of a venomous snake's fangs. The claws of SCP-XXXX also contain a similar structure. The substance contained in the teeth and claws of SCP-XXXX has been revealed to be ricin.

SCP-XXXX follows a life cycle similar to that of a parasitoid wasp. The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX begin to manifest as SCP-XXXX reaches an age of two (2) hours old. At this age, SCP-XXXX will seek out humans1, and actively rub them on sight. This behavior is to spread the infection of T. gondii larvae and eggs, in order to debilitate their hosts. This behavior also leads to increased trust in SCP-XXXX from the human. After this, SCP-XXXX will attempt to bite or scratch humans, in order to debilitate the human host with ricin. SCP-XXXX will then inject embryos into the human, along with a substance that resembles █████████, in order to disable the nervous system of the host for approximately 10 minutes. The embryos mature rapidly into kittens, and will consume the internal organs of the host, before consuming their way out of the host. All instances of immature species display anomalous properties at 2 hours of age, but age at a rate similar to normal cats. All of these kittens behave as if they were normal kittens, until the age of two (2) hours, where their anomalous properties manifest.

SCP-XXXX displays intelligence not expected in a non-anomalous cat. Immature instances do not exhibit superior intelligence, but are still able to secrete ricin from their claws and teeth, and harbor T. gondii eggs. All humans engaging in unprotected interaction with SCP-XXXX will become a host for the offspring for SCP-XXXX, and related instances, as demonstrated with the family at the retrieval site of SCP-XXXX, and Agent-██.

SCP-XXXX displays intelligence, in that it will attempt (often with success), to open regular doors. SCP-XXXX is able to do this by using its paws to turn doorknobs. SCP-XXXX is also able to unplug or inactivate electrical devices, often to create distraction, or to hinder research efforts on itself. Also, SCP-XXXX will attempt to coerce human subjects into confined spaces, in order to perform actions necessary for the reproduction of SCP-XXXX. However, SCP-XXXX instances can be calmed in the presence of a large bed, of which they will sleep in and nurture their young.
