Item #: SCP-11010

Object level: Euclid

Special containment procedures: The foundation possess approximately 700 liters of SCP-11010 distributed between 9 plastic barrels each with a total volume of 90 liters. Each barrel is heat-sealed and kept in storage room 97 at foundation storage facility ██-██. Each barrel is marked as a biohazard, as well as with warnings against skin contact. Individuals seeking access to SCP-11010 must conferee with researcher Zainab Al Ahab, PhD [A-8892], before storage location can be reviled and access can be granted. Always observe level two bio-safety procedures, when handling SCP-11010. In addition to standard equipment each person handling the substance is to be in possession of an additional empty pastic barrel in case of an incident. Individuals who has previously been the subject of an SCP-11010 are not allowed to handle the substance under any circumstances.
SCP-11010 is approved for both laboratory testing as well as clinical testing with D-class personnel. Clinical testing of SCP-11010 must be approved by at least two A-class personnel.

Description: SCP-11010 is a mass of deep blue fluid with a viscosity similar to fermented dairy products. Its odor and taste variates strongly for different observers, but is always described as pleasant and/or strangely familiar. SCP-11010 is slightly fluorescent, is highly lipophilic, neutral in acidity and freezes solid when approaching 60 degrees kelvin.
Chemical analysis of SCP-11010 shows that it is organic and consists of a large number of different aromatic compounds.
SCP-11010 is not shown to deteriorate naturally, is non reactionary and has so far proven indestructible though any means other than high temperature incineration.

When SCP-11010 comes into direct contact with any mammal, it causes the subject to experience immediate dizziness and nausea, similar to motion sickness. The subject will subsequently regurgitate several liters newly formed SCP-11010 directly from their oral cavity, regardless of whether or not the substance was ingested or simply made contact with any part of their body, thereby producing a new instance of SCP-11010, apparently originating from their own digestive system, whereupon the nausea immediately subsides and the subject returns to their normal state, though usually dazed from the experience, and always several kilograms lighter. Human subjects usually regurgitates 1 to 4 times from contact with SCP-11010, with each regurgitation expelling, on average, between 2 and 7 liters of new SCP-11010. One human test subject [D-3519] managed to expel 27 liters of SCP-11010 in a single regurgitation doing testing of the substance. Due to the sudden loss of body mass, D-3519 received medical treatment for acute Hypovolemia and Muscular Dystrophy and survived the episode with little to no permanent trauma. It is theorized that SCP-11010 causes the body to convert its own muscle, fat, blood and possibly bone structure into additional SCP-11010 which is then immediately expelled from the body. SCP-11010 has proven to have the same effect on all kinds of mammals, even those otherwise incapable of normal regurgitation such as horses (Equus ferus caballus) and brown rats (Rattus norvegicus).

SCP-11010 has proven highly addictive to any subject which has been in contact with SCP-11010. And is overcome with a mild to moderate compulsion to further ingest SCP-11010. 89 % of all exposed subjects has expressed a desire to either smell and ingest the substance again, allthough the majority of victims are rapported to be digusted or disturbed by themselves for feeling this way. Several subjects, including [Data Expunged] has made inquiries to the location stored SCP-11010 and some attempts at forced entrance at the storage facility has been attempted and foiled. While previously exposed subjects do not seem to experience direct typical symptoms of withdrawal, many has acted out of character, when denied access to SCP-11010.
Addicted subjects have been observed to willingly touch or consume SCP-11010 when given access to it, only to regurgitate, touch or consume their own expelled SCP-11010 and repeat the process until subject was unable to continue due to exhaustion and loss of body mass. It is for this reason that SCP-11010 is classified as Euclid rather than safe, and all instances of SCP-11010 possessed by the foundation is stored at an undisclosed location.
Further research into the properties of SCP-11010 is currently being conducted at site ██-██.

The Foundation obtained a 115 mL sample of SCP-11010 in on the fifth of October 1998, in the apartment of the, at the time, recently decided [Name withheld], located in [Location withheld], Norway. A sample was found in a glass bottle in the deceased's refrigerator, by the deceased's grandson, [Name withheld]. Subject came into contact with SCP-11010 after the bottle was accidentally broken and spilled approximately 100 mL of SCP-11010 onto the subject's chest, covering subject's t-shirt and parts of his right upper arm. Subject immediately began to regurgitate large quantities of SCP-11010 onto himself and his surroundings, rendering him unable to remove the substance from his body. As a result the effects of SCP-11010 did not subside until subject expired due to excessive loss of body mass. The story was later related to Agent Rodrigo [Agent number], by the subject's wife, hereafter referred to as, whom witnessed the entire affair. A recording of the interview is transcribed in addendum ?. All memories of the incident was subsequently erased from the wife's memories via a mimetic device. A sample of SCP-11010 was collected by Agent Rodrigo for analysis, where upon the apartment was incinerated to remove all remaining traces of SCP-11010 under the guise of a kitchen fire, all residences were safely removed with no casualties.
