Item #: SCP-####
Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-#### is to be kept in an containment made from 6 inch re-enforced glass 10m by 10m. SCP-#### should be kept under watch by at least 2 security personnel at all times. Duty security personnel should be briefed and trained to deal with a silent predator that can stalk and kill its pray from the ceilings, walls and floor should SCP-#### get out. SCP-#### is largely nocturnal so the containment should be lit by black light generators. All research personnel are to observe SCP-#### from outside the enclosure and any samples to be collected or cleaning is to be performed through the use of an Custom made IED that is to remain on site. SCP-#### should be feed and watered weekly. One adult deer seems to last SCP-#### for about a week and water will be provided through a pump filtered water hole half a meter squared and 3 inches deep. Any empty cocoons to be removed from the containment weekly. Feeding will stop for awhile when SCP-#### is moulting.

Description:
SCP-#### is a large spider as of yet unmatched to any currently known species of spider known on earth, making SCP-#### a brand new species. The leg span of SPC-#### is recorded around 1.5m, however according to continued sightings of specimens in places around South America, Afghanistan and Iraq. There sizes are estimated to be round 1-2m leg span. Like all spiders SCP-#### is venomous with a strong paralysing venom. Behaviour of SCP-#### suggest they are a form of hunting spider as so prefer to stalk and over power their pray rather then making a web and waiting.

SCP Foundation became interested by SPC-#### in 2004 when increased reports of large spiders attacking night watch where coming from the frontline in Afghanistan. The soldiers would report getting ambushed out of no were by a silent creature. Most cases, SCP-#### seem to go after the dogs that accompany the night watch. An agent with a small recovery team was dispatched to hunt down and capture a live specimen of SCP-#### and bring it back to site [Data Blocked] for continue research into the creatures. The team was successful and now research teams are work to finding out were SCP-#### is coming from and how there live. Plans for more research teams are also being made to head for the rain forests and mountain ranges in South America. To found out more about SCP-#### sightings there. Also how they differ from the specimen recovered from Afghanistan.
