Item: SCP-#

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

Maps, books, and charts depicting or describing SCP-# are to be altered such that SCP-# is deleted and all references to SCP-# are replaced with one of the Cook Islands. A marine patrol is to be maintained around SCP-#, completely surrounding the island at a distance of 300 m. Persons found within this radius of SCP-# are to be sent to their country of choice, and administered Class-B amnesiacs upon arrival. Other than for experimentation, it is prohibited to set foot on SCP-#.

Description:

SCP-#-1 is an island in the South Pacific Ocean, approximately █ km west the Cook Islands, at coordinates 17°██ '██ " south and 162°██ '██ " W . SCP-# is SCP-#-1 and its indigenous population. SCP-#-1 is populated by pigs of species Sus scrofa, henceforth designated SCP-#-2. Instances of SCP-#-2 show no anomalies and are capable of reproduction. There will always be at least one instance of SCP-#-2 on SCP-#-1. If a person, designated "target" for convenience, setting foot on SCP-#-1, no adverse effects are felt. However, upon killing an instance of SCP-#-2, the target will feel a compulsion to further kill instances of SCP-#-2, as well as any other mammals on SCP-#-1, and consume their flesh. This compulsion increases with time elapsed after killing the first instance of SCP-#-2, and is amplified by subsequent killings of any mammal, as well as the consumption of mammals killed by the target. After the target has consumed a mass of mammalian tissue equal to that of approximately 30 full-grown instances of SCP-#-2, a loss of mental ability will accompany the effects. After a mass of tissue equivalent to approximately 50 instances of SCP-#-2 are consumed, the target will experience difficulty in walking bipedally. After a mass of tissue equivalent to approximately 65 instances of SCP-#-2 are consumed, the target will transform into an instance of SCP-#-2 via an unknown biological process similar to embryonic development, but at a much larger scale, over the course of 15 minutes. Instances of SCP-#-2 derived from humans behave no differently from other instances of SCP-#-2.
