Escape From Site-19

Approximately a year and a half has passed between the initial proposal of Mobile Task Force Alpha-9 and the present. [May cut this note or rephrase.]

[May open with a flash-forward w/ the Insurgency attacking and then rewind to before the attack]

Alpha-9 Log Entry ████████-2600-W
Subjects: SCP-105 (Iris Thompson), SCP-073 ("Cain")
Synopsis: SCP-105 is undergoing a scheduled interview with SCP-073 following her first field mission as part of Alpha-9, post-recovery period. Relevant excerpt follows.

SCP-105: And yeah, I guess that's it. I'm kind of messed up about Agent Lang. She still might lose her arm. But yeah. I did a whole lot better than expected. Everything went a whole lot better than expected.

SCP-073: And how are you feeling now?

SCP-105: This all still seems so weird. Like… here I am. Actual Alpha-9 team leader. Like Able was. Uh… sorry.

SCP-073: It's of no concern.

SCP-105: I didn't mean to mention him.

SCP-073: It's alright. You are most welcome to say whatever is on your mind. Even if it involves unpleasant associations.

SCP-105: Are you sure?

SCP-073: If I were not, I would not speak.

SCP-105: I guess you wouldn't. [Chuckles] Sorry, just… it's been so many years, you know?

SCP-073: I know.

[Long pause.]

SCP-105: So they told you what's happening now, right? With Alpha-9.

SCP-073: They delivered me documents detailing the transfer orders and evaluation schedules this morning.

SCP-105: Yeah. They're moving us all to Site-19 and they're gonna house us all together. I'll be in with the other, um, anomalies. I'm not sure how to feel.

SCP-073: What are your thoughts?

SCP-105: It's kind of funny, right? I mean, on the one hand, there's you. On the other hand, there's… him. On Omega-7, he was the only other anomaly who lasted. Or I guess I should switch that up, since the whole point of Omega-7 was him… I mean I was the only anomaly who lasted…

[SCP-105 trails off.]

SCP-073: Yes.

SCP-105: And now, it's not going to be me plus a psycho murder monster. But I… I'm still freaked out about it.

SCP-073: How so?

SCP-105: I'm not sure. It's been a year and a half since all this started. Since I got recruited. You'd think I would be used to the idea by now. [Pause.] Maybe it'll be different once I actually meet these other anomalies… I mean, these other people. Plus severed hand, brain in a jar… do those count as people?

SCP-073: Wouldn't you say they are as much people as you and I?

SCP-105: I guess so. Maybe it'll be different when I actually meet them. You know. O5-7 is coming to, um, evaluate us in person. I guess some of other O5s are phoning in too. I just feel like something bad is gonna happen.

[THIS IS A CLUMSY ENDING, NEEDS EDITS]

Log Transcript Excerpt ██████-███ x103345
Subject: Assistant Director Samantha Harding
Excerpt Note: Subject was assigned to Site-19 three months prior to time frame of this log. Discussion is of current Site-19 Head Director Tilda Moose.

She put me off the discussion for about thirty minutes, discussing moving SCP objects out of Sector 12 to keep them away from Alpha-9 housing. Unauthorized exposure concerns, potential cross-contamination, mitigating negative effects of containment procedures. All obvious stuff. I don't think she was suspicious, not any more than usual.

I informed her I'd lodged dozens of complaints regarding centralizing Alpha-9 there — yes, I actually made the complaints, in case she checks. I don't think I gave her any reason, but the woman is paranoid. Everyone knows she only got in charge of 19 because Strelnikov liked her. Her background — Oh? Right. I would agree with that assessment, sure.

No, she didn't discuss that. She did bring up my background from Site-881. She referred to Site-19 as, quote, "the Foundation's biggest site and the Foundation's biggest mess". She said the reason why was that every faction in the Foundation has a presence in 19, and Alpha-9 was likely centralized in 19 in spite of the potential risks for the same reason as hundreds of other SCPs — different factions want to keep an eye on them, and this is the best compromise.

We specifically discussed O5-8. I asked why she thought he signed off on Alpha-9 getting moved to 19, since he opposed it so strongly before. She told me that she didn't couldn't speak for O5-8, but the people who like Alpha-9 think making it more public will convince everyone it's great, but that the people who hate Alpha-9 think that moving it to 19 is like pouring oil on a fire. She stated that 19's command hierarchy should ensure that we identify everything that can go wrong here, and make sure it doesn't.

No, I — I have no way of knowing. She came off as pretty paranoid to me, like she's the kind of person who wants to tell everyone everything but has learned to be secretive. This was the most direct she's ever been with me. I didn't want to put her more on guard.

I did ask her if she thought any Foundation factions were deliberately sabotaging the Alpha-9 project, especially with disregard to, ah, negative consequences for other Foundation assets. She evaded the question.

Whatever the case, she never mentioned the intelligence about the possible Insurgency attack.

hi resurrection writers

This is the attack on site-19 thing. Basically: Alpha-9 gets gathered together for evaluation before they officially start going on missions. O5-7 comes in person because she's a jackass. Then the Insurgency attacks! And fun shit happens.
Add anything you want. Try to set up conflicts for your character/s. Go nuts.
