SCP-2547

Item #: SCP-2547

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2547 is to be contained in a storage locker measuring 500 x 500 x 500 centimeters. It is to be taken out and inspected daily, with the number displayed on the item being recorded for testing purposes.

Description: SCP-2547 is a cube of solid copper measuring 300 x 300 x 300 centimeters. Its surface is smooth and shiny with no wear, fading, or dirtying other than an inscription on the front. While SCP-2547 can be scratched, dirtied, or otherwise marked the effects do not last for long, and seem to fade after an hour at most. Cutting off pieces of SCP-2547 is currently under consideration.

The inscription on the front of SCP-2547 changes regularly with the changes occurring at 12:00 AM GMT. Each inscription is a 10 digit number corresponding to an international phone number. Which phone the number corresponds to seems to be random. When called, the receiver of the call always picks up, though the anomaly doesn't extend to the phone conversation.

Addendum 2547-A: The object was discovered when the number of foundation Agent █████ was inscribed and Thomas ███████ of Venice, Italy, who was in possession of the object, called. The call was traced immediately, Thomas ███████ was given Class B amnestics, and the object was seized. No other anomalies were found in Thomas ███████'s household.

Addendum 2547-B: After 3 weeks of foundation possession, the object gave the number (███) ███-████, which led to the following conversation:

*phone rings*
*answer* "Hello Foundation."
Dr. ██████: "Did…did you just say 'foundation'?"
Recipient: "Yes. This is the SCP foundation, is it not?"
Dr. ██████: "How do you know that?"
Recipient: "I know many things, doctor."
Dr. ██████: "Who are you?"
Recipient: "Me? I am nobody."
Dr. ██████: "What?"
Recipient: "Now if you don't mind, I was in the middle of something."
Dr. ██████: "Wait, how are you-"
Call Ended by Recipient

Multiple attempts were made to call back the number, all of which were met with an answered call and nothing but static. It is believed that the number led to a member of the Group of Interest known as Nobody. Attempts to trace the call were unsuccessful. Following this, the phone used for the call was dismantled and testing ceased as per Researcher ████████'s request
