Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Four instances of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in a secure room at site-███, all other instances are to undergo mandatory screening, followed by incineration. Approval of a level-4 personnel is required for any testing on SCP-XXXX. The presence of two (2) armed guards is required during testing.
During the first and sixteenth of each month, SCP-XXXX-2 is to be allowed one (1) hour access to SCP-XXXX any entities claiming to be "The Gardner" are to be put through mandatory testing before being allowed access to SCP-XXXX. Two (2) armed guards are to accompany SCP-XXXX-2 at all times. Any signs of hostility on the part of SCP-XXXX-2 is to be met with immediate termination.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a one (1) meter tall oak tree that grows toroid shaped fruit that is similar to a banana in both appearance and texture (SCP-XXXX-1). Each fruit measures seven (7) cm in height, and weighs fifty (50) grams. Only four (4) instances of SCP-XXXX-1 can grow on any one SCP-XXXX at any time. Each SCP-XXXX-1 grows back one (1) week after it is removed from SCP-XXXX, though the entire growth of the fruit appears to only take place on the seventh day.

SCP-XXXX itself appears to have no effect on humans, though if an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is consumed, a change of memories and personality will occur approximately one minute after consumption. Who, or what the consumer gains the memories and personality of appears to be random, though it has been observed that in ~75% of experiments that the consumer takes on the personality and habits of a species of animal. Apart from animals, subject have been known to act like other humans, characters from fiction, a mix of human and animal, SCP-XXXX-2, and in one case, SCP-███.

Approximately 45 minutes after the consumption of SCP-XXXX-1, the consumer will undergo spontaneous combustion. The fire will keep burning until the consumer has been entirely reduced to ashes. The fire does not spread, and all attempts to douse the fire have failed. After the consumer has been reduced to ashes, a new instance of SCP-XXXX will begin to sprout from the ash. It is unknown where the new instance comes from, as no seed or sapling can be found within the ash.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a human entity of varying forms. SCP-XXXX-2 will appear twice every month, on the first and sixteenth, at any structure that contains at least two instances of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-2 will request access to all instances of SCP-XXXX within the structure, claiming that it is the "gardener" that had been hired to take care of the plant. If SCP-XXXX-2 is denied access, it will begin to plead, growing more and more desperate, though at no point will it make an attempt to enter the structure without permission. If SCP-XXXX-2 is allowed entrance, it will begin moving towards the location that the instances of SCP-XXXX are being kept, even if no directions are given.

After arriving at the location of the SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-2 will request a series of gardening tools, as well as give instructions on where to get them from. If the request is refused, or if the tool cannot be found, SCP-XXXX-2 will leave the room, and go find the tool itself. SCP-XXXX-2 will always find the tool, without fail, even if the structure did not contain the tool prior to the request. When SCP-XXXX-2 has obtained all the requested tools, it will begin to tend to the plants. After SCP-XXXX-2 is done tending to the plants, it politely thank whoever let it in, and leave. It is unknown where SCP-XXXX-2 goes after leaving the structure, as all attempts to track it has resulted in it disappearing suddenly.

The appearance of SCP-XXXX-2 changes with every visit, and has never appeared the same twice. Though SCP-XXXX-2 is almost always human, it will on occasion take on the appearance of a humanoid animal.

Addendum XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX was recovered after receiving reports of a man attacking students at a school campus, while screeching like a monkey, until suddenly catching on fire.
