Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 30.48 cm x 30.48 cm Plexiglas box, locked with a padlock. Only Personnel with Level-2 Clearance or higher are allowed access to the padlock key, and one Level-3 personnel member must be present when unlocked. During experimentation, only Class D-personnel may hold the object, and at least one guard armed with a mechanical grabber and anesthetics is required to be present to restrain the subject.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an ink calligraphy pen. No brands to indicate the producers of the pen are visible. The pen was found in the house of Mr. and Mrs. ████, after the couple had committed suicide. Surrounding the couple were papers detailing crimes and tragedies, written in ink. One member of the recovery team picked up SCP-XXXX and immediately began to write down his own wrongdoings on leftover papers. He had to be pulled away from the pen and was later admitted into a psychiatric hospital.

When a human holds the pen, they will begin to write down crimes that they have committed. The pen does not appear to run out of ink, and its source is unknown. The user will not stop writing until they are finished or forcibly separated from the pen. If a guard attempts to remove the user from the pen, the user will become very aggressive and will try to harm them, often by stabbing the guard with the pen. Although users prefer to write on paper, they will use any surface available to write on, including their own skin. After the user completes their writing, they often experience suicidal urges or mental trauma, largely due to severe guilt and self-hate.

Notes: The request to use SCP-XXXX in court to determine innocence was declined due to the after effects of usage.
