A photograph of SCP-2125, containing SCP-2125-1 through SCP-2125-12.

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard containment cell, placed on a table, in Site-19. SCP-XXXX is to be placed under constant surveillance, and its anomalous changes are to be recorded and archived.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a box of twelve (12) donuts of different varieties; it is noted that SCP-2125 is a standard 12-dozen donut box. The individual donuts are to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties appear when it is closed, wherein each instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is replaced with an instance of SCP-XXXX-1-1, which appears as twelve (12) bagels. When it is closed again, a new set of SCP-XXXX-1 appear. These instances replace the previous instances, which cease to exist. If an instance is removed from SCP-XXXX, then it will not morph into a new instance once the shift takes place. The instances will regenerate if they have been removed from SCP-XXXX in donut-form. It has been confirmed that eating instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-1-1 are completely edible and have no adverse effect on humans.

Attempts to record the shift have concluded in failures, as the recording equipment placed inside SCP-XXXX have ceased to function once the box is closed. GPS tracking placed inside and on the outside of the instances also cease to function once the box is closed. It is unknown whether or not SCP-XXXX contains anything when it is closed, as X-rays cannot penetrate SCP-XXXX, even though the box seems to consist of regular materials for a standard box.

Each instance of SCP-XXXX-1 appear to have no anomalous properties, compared to SCP-XXXX-1-1. SCP-XXXX-1-1's anomalous properties manifest under direct observation, where individuals experience moderate to high (and in some cases extreme) disappointment and distress. After an instance of SCP-XXXX-1-1 is removed from SCP-XXXX it no longer retains its memetic effect on individuals.
