SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: The bank that SCP-XXXX is located in has been condemned by the foundation. A chain-linked fence surrounds the bank with an "AUTHORIZED ONLY" sign to ward off the public. Two authorized personnel must be on site at all times. Any unauthorized humans who tries to force their way towards SCP-XXXX should be forcefully removed from the site.

Security cameras are posted both inside and outside SCP-XXXX. The cameras should be checked twice daily for any abnormalities.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a silver bank vault located under the ██████ bank, Toronto. While the bank itself was built in 1921, tests have confirmed SCP-XXXX to be at least ███ years older. The vault door is a standard, 18-bolt door. The door's locking mechanism has been jammed for an unknown period of time; though it can still close. The interior is entirely empty, besides a potted collection of red and white roses composed of unknown organic material. Any attempts to remove the roses from SCP-XXXX have failed.

The roses emit an unknown chemical that corrodes any copper within SCP-XXXX. This process takes around 2 minutes, regardless of its size or mass. Tests have concluded that the corroded copper gets used as food for the roses to keep them alive, how this happens is currently unknown. If anybody is in SCP-XXXX when the door close, they will go into a trance state, staring at the roses in admiration until the door opens. When the door opens, victims will immediately go into a state of severe distress, claiming that the roses transformed and attempted to kill them. What the roses turn into varies greatly. In one case, it was spiders, in another it was a living rope. Video footage, however, confirm that the roses don't transform into anything at all.

Immediately after exposure to SCP-XXXX, the victim will have developed a chronic fear of whatever entity they saw. After 5 days of exposure, the victim will have gone into a state of insanity where they will deny ever being in SCP-XXXX. As of ██/██/████, there have been no fatalities as a result of SCP-XXXX.
