Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard low-security storage room except during testing procedures. SCP-XXXX should only be interacted with when necessary in an effort to avoid breaking the object.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a ceramic vase baring an 18th century design. The exact origin and creator of the vase is currently unknown, but it is dated to be around 250 years old. The anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX is revealed when any person attempts to break the object or it is otherwise put in harm's way. Upon taking damage, SCP-XXXX will shatter and the pieces will glow faintly before automatically reassembling. The pieces may be withheld from reassembly by pulling a piece away from the others, but the piece will seem to be "pulling" towards the rest of the object. This effect grows stronger with increased distance from the rest of the pieces. The range at which the pieces may reassemble is not currently known and may be infinite.

SCP-XXXX was obtained following a string of murders in ██████████, Oklahoma, involving the object as a weapon. The assaulter, a Peter ██████, managed to kill █ people before being apprehended by the local police force. Upon his arrest, SCP-XXXX was confiscated and was accidentally dropped, revealing its anomalous nature. An embedded foundation member serving the police force at the time managed to retrieve it, and all persons involved were treated with class-A amnestics.
