Item #: SCP-2311
Object class: Keter
Special containment Procedures:
SCP-2311 is to be kept in a 4x4x4 meter padded room. Five unarmed guards to remain just outside of SCP-2311’s cell. It is important that the guards be unarmed as SCP-2311 has shown to be quite skilled in sleight of hand and pick pocketing. Under no circumstances are tranquilizers to be used on SCP-2311, they have been deemed too risky. SCP-2311 is to be visited daily by a female employee. In the event that a female is not available a male employee will suffice. Under no circumstances during these visits is SCP-2311 to be lied to (see addendum A-1).
Description:
SCP-2311 is a male in his mid-twenties of indeterminate race. SCP-2311’s body is somehow connected to the planet earth. Any physical harm dealt to SCP-2311 will cause some level of natural disaster depending on the severity of injury. What makes the problem all the more complicated is the fact that SCP-2311 suffers from severe depression and suicidal tendencies. It is therefore assumed that if SCP-2311 does commit suicide is would cause a XK class end of the world scenario. Communication with other people appears to sedate his depression, communication with Females appears to be more effective. However psychiatric treatment has proven to be ineffective.
Addendum A-1:
On March 11, 2011 during one of SCP-2311’s daily visits Agent Smith gave SCP-2311 a compliment that she didn’t actually mean, but was rather convincing. Immediately following the compliment SCP-2311 entered a rage state in which he attempted to kill Agent Smith. All the while shouting and accusing Agent Smith of being a liar among other related things. The guards then rushed in to subdue SCP-2311. During the struggle SCP-2311’s upper left arm was broken, however SCP-2311 did not show any pain. After approx. two minutes of SCP-2311 struggling to break free Agent Smith apologized and admitted that the compliment was a lie, immediately after which SCP-2311 calmed down and was given medical attention.
Interviewed: SCP-2311
Interviewer: Dr. Grant
Forward: Following the event on March 11, 2011 Head researcher of SCP-2311, Dr. Grant, decided to interview SCP-2311 inside his cell to find out why he attacked Agent Smith.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Grant: Hello.
SCP-2311: Hey.
Dr. Grant: What is your name?
SCP-2311: SCP-2311
Dr. Grant: No, I mean what was the name you were born with?
SCP-2311: I prefer SCP-2311.
Dr. Grant: Why?
SCP-2311: I just like it better.
Dr. Grant: Ok I suppose we should get right to it then, why did you attack Agent Smith
SCP-2311: Because she lied to me.
Dr. Grant: Yes I know, but why?
SCP-2311: She lied.
Dr. Grant: How did you know she lied?
SCP-2311: Because she did.
Dr. Grant: Ok listen, I need you to co-operate with us.
SCP-2311: Why should I? What will you do if I don’t? Kill me?
Dr. Grant: Well… No.
SCP-2311: And why the hell not. Why can’t you let me die?
Dr. Grant: You are aware that your body is connected to the earth, correct.
SCP-2311: Yea. So?
Dr. Grant: So, if you die then the world ends.
SCP-2311: And why should I care about that?
Dr. Grant: You have no problem with killing seven billion people?
SCP-2311: Why should I care what happens after I’m dead?
Dr. Grant: Don’t you have any friends, family, people who love you? Someone who you wouldn’t want to die?
SCP-2311: Shouldn’t you know that?
Dr. Grant: Honestly we should, but when we ███████████████████████████ █████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████. So you can see how we don’t have any information on you.
SCP-2311: Yea, but no I don’t at least not any more.
Dr. Grant: Would you mind telling me what happened?
SCP-2311:….. Well ███████████████████████████████████████████████████ █████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████
█████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████
████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ ███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████.
Dr. Grant: Oh. Well. I guess I now understand your current mental state. However, I still can’t let you kill yourself.
SCP-2311: I figured as much.

Closing statement: It seems obvious that SCP-2311’s depression and Attempts at suicide are caused by his experience with ████████████████████. However I doubt that this was the origin of SCP-2311’s anomalous properties. Although I do recommend sending in an Intelligence Agent to ████████████, there might be something to give us a clue as to SCP-2311’s anomalous properties.
