Item#: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 5x5x5, room with walls made of at least 20 cm thick lead. Another layer consisting of Tungsten must be placed as another layer outside the lead to protect against the temperature changes. SCP-XXXX must be suspended by electromagnet at all times and any electrical engineers will inspect the magnet and electric system once every two weeks. Due to the difficulties in protection against SCP-XXXX's effects, no research or experiments is allowed to be performed. The lead layer of the containment must however be inspected every four months by authorized personnel and in case of severe damage, it must be replaced. During this process, a small containment area with thin layers of lead and tungsten must be prepared and be ready to contain SCP-XXXX during renovation of the main containment area. Two armed guards must be present outside the containment area and anyone who tries to steal the entity, examine the entity or enter the containment area must be stopped.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a fine, magnetic powder made of an unknown metallic substance. It was discovered in Hiroshima, Japan in 2002 when a team of construction workers were brought into the hospital with severe frostbite. The Foundation was called in and all witnesses within a 200 m radius of both the discovery site and the hospital.were given class B amnestics.

SCP-XXXX is highly radioactive and it also rapidly shifts between extreme temperatures, ranging between 4,13 degrees K and 2142,78 degrees K. The fastest documented temperature change was from 101,2 degrees K to 775,01 degrees K in two minutes. The process controlling this is currently unknown. Due to these features, research concerning SCP-XXXX is made extremely hard and failed experiments have so far lead to ██ casualties.

SCP-XXXX will also make sudden moves while suspended. The movements can vary in size and effect but it generally doesn't pose any danger. The cause of this irregular, seemingly random movement is currently unknown although it's speculated to be connected to SCP-███.
