SCP-XXXX-1 after a few seconds of activation in a test wall

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX-1 is to be contained in a Euclid-class item containment vault. SCP-XXXX-1 is to be placed on a secure table that will not rock. The cell surrounding SCP-XXXX-1 should have no gaps or spaces in the walls or floor. Access to SCP-XXXX-2 is to be denied to any foundation personnel. Access is to only be granted to D-class personnel for testing purposes only.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a fired clay brick. SCP-XXXX-1’s anomalous properties are observed when SCP-XXXX-1 is placed inside of a pre-existing wall with a gap big enough to fit SCP-XXXX-1 inside it. SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to vibrate loudly for several seconds before observable shifts in the wall’s patterns are noticed. These shifts will continue for about 3 minutes until the wall within a 3 meter radius of SCP-XXXX-1 becomes semi-opaque and ripples quickly. A forested area can be observed through this opening. This affection area acts as a portal to this part of the forest, and any object or person entering it will fall through to the other side where they can be observed. SCP-XXXX-2 can be accessed by following a rough trail found leading directly to the opening. SCP-XXXX-1 will ripple and shift, but remain fixed in its place so long as it is inside some kind of gap. When SCP-XXXX-1 is removed, the area of affection will cease rippling and slowly become opaque again. No structural changes can be observed in the affected portion of wall once it has returned to normal. SCP-XXXX-1 can be removed by reaching into the gap where it was originally and pulling it out. Any subjects traveling through the affected area are advised to not bump into it.
SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be an infinitely high tower composed of red bricks and mortar exactly alike SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 is found nearby the opening that SCP-XXXX-1 generates. SCP-XXXX has been measured to be about 100 meters wide, 100 meters long, with no observable end height. An opening in the center of the structure faces the affected area of wall. Any attempts to break off a piece of SCP-XXXX-2 have been met with failure. Blasting SCP-XXXX-2 had no effect on the structure. SCP-XXXX-2 cannot be scaled from the outside with human climbers due to a strong lack of footholds. Attempts to scale SCP-XXXX-2 using vehicles taken from foundation assets resulted in complete failure. See test log XXXX-A and B. Any attempts to navigate the forest or fly over it have resulted in subjects displaying confusion and leading right back to the start of the trail leading to SCP-XXXX-2.
The inside of SCP-XXXX-2 is unlit. A wall can be seen a few meters in through the opening with a light. Any person entering the opening will no longer feel the need to eat. There are two theories to this:
1.) Subjects entering the tower have the feeling of hunger supressed, or
2.) Subjects entering the tower no longer need to consume food to survive.
There is an inscription on the outside near the opening of SCP-XXXX-2, reading:
“The ultimate treasure for the one worthy of the climb, but beware, he who enters may never leave again alive.”
