LucentWolfkin's Various SCP items

Item #: SCP- XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are to be stored in separate 10 m x 10 m x 10 m soundproof rooms 5 m above the floor. No sound louder than 30 dB is to be made near SCP-XXXX when not in testing chamber. SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are not to be placed in the same room together except for testing purposes. Protective ear muffs proved to 85 dB must be worn by all personnel when handling SCP-XXXX or during testing. A seismograph is to be installed in both of SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber to record vibrations caused by SCP-XXXX. if vibrations above 4.0 on the Richter scale are observed, all personnel within 50 m of either SCP-XXXX chamber are to evacuate the facility. Personnel are not to stay in SCP-XXXX's containment chamber for longer than 10 minutes at a time.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a set of 2 ████ brand speakers 30 cm x 17 cm x 17 cm in size that double the decibels of any ambient noise not directly created by themselves. These speakers require no outside power, although still having an electrical plug. This amplification also affects any sounds input via a microphone, and have been tested to produce sounds upwards of [DATA EXPUNGED] dB. SCP-XXXX also can connect to any microphone within 5 m whether or not it is connected to the speaker. Microphones affected by SCP-XXXX show no other anomalous properties.

Subjects directly listening to ambient noise amplified by SCP-XXXX for a period of time report occasionally hearing faint voices coming from SCP-XXXX, the volume of the voices increasing the longer they listen exponentially. This volume changes for how long a subject has been listening, and can only be heard when SCP-XXXX's ambient noise is audible. These voices do not come across on recorded audio of SCP-XXXX, and must be heard directly. The voices vary in age, ethnicity, gender, and language, differing from person to person.

Other speakers of this model do not display anomalous properties, and the manufacturer has no knowledge of any speaker with a serial number matching either SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX is mechanically identical to other ████ brand speakers of the same model.

SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 were recovered on Jan. 13, 20██ after a band hooked up their audio system to them at a concert, killing the first few rows of people, and shattering the eardrums of everyone else there. A foundation recovery team was dispatched and class-c amnesiacs were administered to everyone who attended the concert, and local law enforcement.

Notes from Dr. █████: Remind the D-class personnel to be careful with SCP-XXXX. Last week 2 D-class personnel dropped one, and deafened a few staff members, and shattered some glass further off. Please be sure to handle them with care, they can do quite a bit of damage, and may be able to cause a containment breach.
