Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid (See Experiment Log XXXX-1a)

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held within a standard inanimate object holding cell, powered by its own on-site generator and guarded by 2 armed personnel at all times. Under no circumstances may any personnel higher than a Class-D enter its containment chamber. No additional hardware is to be plugged into SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX should be monitored via security cameras from a secure adjoining observation room. Any victims of SCP-XXXX listed in its application should be brought to Site-██ and placed in a holding cell, and watched for any abnormal behavior.

Object Description: SCP-XXXX is a desktop personal computer running Windows XP. It currently has no known anomalies within its computing system and tower, as the computer's parts and appearance match that of a standard desktop PC from 2001. As of Sept. 16th, 20██, SCP-XXXX has 3 programs installed on its hard drive- Internet Explorer, Notepad, and a command prompt.

SCP-XXXX does not display anomalous properties unless approached by a human being. If this human attempts to use it, or communicate with it, or execute commands via the command prompt, the Notepad application will immediately open and display the name, sex, location, and date of birth of a random person around the globe. The people of whom are displayed on the application appear to have no pattern, and they are selected at random. The person of whom is displayed on the application are then found dead within the next 72 hours. The victim is usually killed by mutilation, or blood loss, or blunt force trauma, or a combination of all three. It is unknown how these injuries occur before death.

If at all possible, victims named by SCP-XXXX should be administered Class-A amnesiac and brought to Site-██. These victims should be closely monitored for any abnormal behavior. So far, however, all attempts to do so have failed, and the victim is found dead before agents arrive.

SCP-XXXX was brought to the Foundation's attention by agents in the ██████, Arizona area of the contiguous United States. There were stories floating around the town that a young boy with a computer could code anything, and make it do whatever he wanted, include code who he wanted the computer to kill. This was tested by the Foundation and proved to be true, and the Foundation agents immediately confiscated the device and placed it into a containment cell.

Addendum XXXX-01: SCP-XXXX was brought to the Foundation's attention by agents in the ██████, Arizona area of the contiguous United States. There were stories floating around the town that a young boy with a computer could code anything, and make it do whatever he wanted, include code who he wanted the computer to tell him who was going to die next in the world. This was immediately seen as a threat and SCP-XXXX was put into containment. It was originally thought that SCP-XXXX had the ability to predict who would die next in the world, but the fact that all the victims of SCP-XXXX died the same way immediately dispelled this assumption.

Addendum XXXX-02: For a short time, the boy whom owned the computer was classified as SCP-XXXX-1. The boy was observed in a panicked state about being held within containment, believing he was "in jail" for "killing people he didn't even know." It was observed that the boy did not know of the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX at the time, and was given a Class-A amnesiac, and released from Site-██ 3 days after being put in Foundation custody.
