Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: The cell SCP-XXXXl resides in a vehicle containment cell. The cell door should be locked at all times and level 2 or lower personnel are not permitted to enter, unless escorted by personnel level 3 or higher. The keys that unlock SCP-XXXX will be in the possession of Dr.Sjin and the doors of SCP-XXXX should also be locked if not needed.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1980 Ford Escort that is red in color. Inside SCP-XXXX is a car radio in the center of the dashboard, if turned on instead of picking up a radio signal a voice can be head with varying age and gender. Turning the knobs of the radio changes the person that is speaking and the voice is able to hear and talk to others. Research shows that all the people speaking through the radio are deceased individuas. Dr.Sjin has listened through channels on the radio and made a list of the seemingly deceased people he met through the radio:

  • A male child sounding from the ages of 4 to 5 who enjoys describing about the famous train toy franchise Thomas the Train Engine.
  • A young male estimated to be around 20 years of age that will try to compliment females.
  • An elder man who spoke an unknown language.
  • A young woman who was described as not enjoyable to listen to or speak with.
  • A man who complained about not consuming enough sustenance.
  • An aged man who spoke offensive comments towards non-caucasian scientists.
  • A young man who kept making comedic comments.
  • A female youth that refused to speak with personnel.

From this experiment Dr.Sjin gathered that the voices could recall their lives before expiration, like their name or specific memories. What he also discovered is that they are oblivious to the fact that they have expired and if mentioned they start to get distressed and ask where they are and in some circumstances start yelling or sob loudly.

Addendum-2343-1: Dr.Sjin did a second experiment with SCP-XXXX where he attempted to remove and dissect the radio to see if it had any technology that was of use or foreign.

When he first started to remove the screws of the radio, the radio turned on without reason and started screaming almost damaging Dr.Sjin’s ears. The screams didn’t belong to just one person it was a multitude of people, even people Dr.Sjin recognized as the voices he spoke to. The yells got louder the further he got removing the radio and the screams got so loud that he had to stop, when he did the screams ceased but instead an unfamiliar voice demanded to have the radio attached back into its original space. Once he completed the voice's demand, the radio turned off.
