Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locker located in Site-[][] filled with a cup of water and a standard tea cup adjacent to it. Personnel of Level 2 or higher are sanctioned in for testing only and not for casual imbibing purposes.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an old brown kettle which appears to be composed of ivory. The kettle depicts a woman on the back of a dragon of some sort. The woman can be removed from the dragon's back and open as the lid.

SCP-XXXX initiates its anomalous properties when the victim pours a drink from SCP-XXXX into a standard tea cup and takes a drink. Depending on the beverage the victim imbibed, it will give the victim a noetic illness, which will gradually worsen until the subject is given heated water from the kettle.
Although, when heated water is poured from the kettle, it emerges as what appears to be wine. When the kettle was opened by researchers, it was still water and not the wine that emerged.

Water seems to be the only substance that can be drunk from the kettle and have a positive effect on the human encephalon. When drinking the water turned to wine, subjects feel content with themselves and serene. These feelings are salient, especially in subjects who struggle with depression.

Addendum: No further experimentation or testing was done after Test D to prevent more lethal incidents.
