Description: SCP-XXXX is a small male Skyblue Parakeet (Melopsittacus undulatus, blue budgerigar mutation) which looks like a typical bird its genus. SCP-XXXX has the effect of making any human aware of its existence constantly hungry, with increased awareness leading to increased hunger. When a human sees, hears, or thinks about SCP-XXXX, he or she will begin craving skewerd and grilled cubes of meat, most commonly referred to as "shashlik". With exposure increasing, the subject will deny any form of food that is not skewered meat, first simply refusing to eat, eventually followed by experiencing extreme stomach irritation from consuming any edible that isn't skewered meat. Simply forgetting about SCP-XXXX, either by thinking about something else or getting amnestics, seems to ease and eventually get rid of the condition. Animals such as other parakeets are unaffected by this anomality.

SCP-XXXX first came to the Foundation's attention when most residents of a small village near the █████, ██████ perished after a denizen brought a new pet parakeet to his home. Upon research, it became apparent that the residents of the village, including the original owner of the parakeet, have died of starvation. However, further investigation found survivors in the city of ████-█████ a few miles away, who claimed that the parakeet was what brought the village's death. Upon questioning, the survivors claimed that the bird bears a "curse" that makes everyone hungry for skewered meat, and nothing else. Further questioning led to the discovery that the initial village was following a strictly vegetarian diet due to a native religion.
The investigating crew then recovered SCP-XXXX, which was found inside a small caged with a plate on the base, reading "Shishlik". The investigating crew [DATA EXPUNGED].
