Minor Drafts and Ideas

This is my brainstorming and future ideas page. My primary draft can be found here.

Ideas and Shit

SCPs

  • Predestination: The Foundation Temporal Department goes back in time and accidentally wipes itself from history.
  • The Last Light: What if near-death or drug-induced experiences of living an entire life are actually our real life? Or what if both are so vivid that we can't tell which one is real and which is the dream?
  • An anomalous legislative bill with antimemetic properties
  • An SCP featuring Grant's Zoo for Cybernetic Enhanced Bears from SCP-2579
  • Fermi's Last Theorem: Where is everybody? Well, apparently, every other intelligent civilization in the galaxy has mysteriously gone extinct.
  • Cape Cod is an anomaly. The peninsula is hiding some sort of eldritch entity or something
  • The Helios Movement: "your god is [REDACTED] holy hell" - inspired by the legendary coldpost
  • L O N G E E L: An over-the-top parody of SCP-3000
  • "4D Ur-Nugget"
  • Age of Miracles: The 001 proposal to end all 001 proposals, featuring every single other proposal as subanomalies and byproducts of this "true" one. Also being one of the only proposals with a truly optimistic tone. The Foundation at the edge of tomorrow. Human history is a grand causal loop. And still, we keep on surviving. If you're reading this and are not me, that's all you're gonna know about this for now.

Tales

Essentially, 2 ideas for series - Crosslinks, a series of tales taking 2 SCPs and writing in an unexpected relationship between them; and Contact, a canon

  • Crosslinks: - SCP-3294/bees
  • Crosslinks: - SCP-3200/SCP-2747
  • Crosslinks: - SCP-3031/Kate McTiriss's Proposal
  • Crosslinks: - SCP-682/SCP-2718
  • Contact - ~13 tales planned for Season 1
  • A Clockwork Universe: not about CotBG, actually. Is about time travel, as always. The theory of the Clockwork Universe is that God does not participate in the universe's affairs, but simply creates it and lets it go. It also refers to the scientific idea that with enough knowledge, we can predict future states of the universe, particle by particle.

Why Are You Creeping On My Author Posts

"We stand upon the brink of a precipice. We peer into the abyss—we grow sick and dizzy. Our first impulse is to shrink away from the danger. Unaccountably we remain… it is but a thought, although a fearful one, and one which chills the very marrow of our bones with the fierceness of the delight of its horror. It is merely the idea of what would be our sensations during the sweeping precipitancy of a fall from such a height… for this very cause do we now the most vividly desire it.”

—Edgar Allan Poe, "The Imp of the Perverse"

Lurked three years, started a subreddit, and after more than seven months of work, my first SCP. There were so much moving parts to this that were difficult to get right, and virtually none of the words you read here are the same as the finished first draft I completed a while ago. This piece is my take on a very personal sort of horror - one without any external threats, built purely out of what lies within.

Thanks to PhotosyntheticPhotosynthetic, trettertretter, TheeShermTheeSherm, BlazingTrailBlazingTrail and Modern_ErasmusModern_Erasmus for feedback, and Minty Python on the SCPDeclassified Discord. Some CSS is taken from SCP-2136 and Wrong Proposal.
