Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be monitored by at least 2 Foundation Agents within the Snapchat staff at any given time, and said monitors within are only allowed to have contacts for SCP-XXXX be "added" by authorized personnel. Interviews are permitted when inquiring over potential anomalous entities and objects. SCP-XXXX's account is not to be deleted under any circumstances. If by any chance another instance of SCP-XXXX manifests, the same containment procedures should be sufficient.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an entity who's only apparent means of communication or interaction are through the mobile application and social network Snapchat. The entity does not take up any space, and does not physically exist. How SCP-XXXX actually takes pictures and sends them is currently unknown. SCP-XXXX is not bound to a specific username, and has appeared as the users fuqqboi2, dinoshit, and [DATA EXPUNGED].

SCP-XXXX appears to be omnipresent, as it does not appear to travel between locations where it takes pictures. SCP-XXXX is sapient, and docile. There is no evidence that SCP-XXXX is capable of physical interaction in any sense, and it is hypothesized that SCP-XXXX is four dimensional.

SCP-XXXX has three “stages” of interaction. In stage 1, SCP-XXXX sends pictures of varying pornographic content. Pictures gradually go from pornographic to violent and gory in nature, stage 2, and if allowed to persist, become more dreary and grey becoming stage 3. In the first 2 stages, SCP-XXXX is not interactive, but as stage 3 approaches, SCP-XXXX “warms up” to contacts, and begins hold conversations. Stages change in intervals of 30-100 pictures sent until stage 3 is reached. Every picture taken by SCP-XXXX is new, and none of which have been shown to match any in archives available. 3rd stage pictures often include overcast skies, abandoned structures, plants, and anomalies and anomalous objects which are previously unknown, within the hands of the Foundation, or within the hands of another organization.

SCP-XXXX is described to have a sarcastic, depressed personality, very reminiscent of “ironic meme” and “vaporwave” internet communities.

When discovered in ██/██/2012, SCP-XXXX was using the username [DATA EXPUNGED], and had added Foundation biologist Maria Rodriguez-Martinez. Although alarmed, researcher Rodriguez-Martinez did not alert the Foundation until an image of the easily recognizable SCP-████ was sent to her. A clock in the image read ██:██, although no abnormal movement within the containment of SCP-████ was observed at that time that day. Deletion of the account was attempted, but ineffective as another account was created. After a second attempt at deletion, it was decided that containment was a better option. Current containment procedures were developed.

Addendum 1:

Considering that SCP-XXXX is not an imminent physical threat and is capable of gaining intelligence on virtually anything, the Foundation has commenced the practical use of SCP-XXXX through its foundation approved “friends". SCP-XXXX only has meaningful conversation with its “friends”, and conversation with other personnel often is gibberish about “memes” or “aesthetic”.
