SCP-XXXX |
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:SCP-XXXX is contained in a standard Safe-class box stored at Site 19.
Experimentation with SCP-XXXX may only be performed with prior permission from at least one (1) Level 3 Senior Researcher. No experiment shall be made without the monitoring of a Level 2-XXXX psychiatrist. The experiment should be stopped if the subject develops early signs of psychological distress.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a school chair identical to models produced by Dupont & Lecoutre from 1951 to 1953. This model combines both chair and desk in a single wrought-iron frame and accommodates the physiology of 8 to 10 years old children. SCP-XXXX shows numerous signs of wear and tear ranging from simple paint scratches to deep metal dents.
Any subject seating on SCP-XXXX will lose their ability to talk. The secondary effect consists in a psychological distress that increases with every new attempt to fight the primary effect. Both primary and secondary effects disappear with no sequela as soon as the subject leaves the chair.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in the basement of ██████-████████ private boarding school for boys near ██████████, France. It was recovered along with older portrait pictures and personal objects formally dated between 1940 and 1944.
Addendum [SCP-XXXXa]: Document XXXX-34 (Extract)
Type (estimated): Internal note from Pr. █████ to Headmaster █████
Date (estimated) : 1952
"I strongly recommend the transfer of student ████. I'm concerned about the increasing animosity of other childrens. The war is over now, and some secrets should remain buried. No child should pay for their parents' mistakes."
Addendum [SCP-XXXXb]: Autopsy Report by Dr. ████ (Extract)
Subject: ██
Date: █/██/2011
It is really unfortunate that D-██'s heart condition was not identified prior to SCP-XXXX experiment #23. This death could have been easily avoided.
No other clinical anomaly to report during the autopsy. I am however intrigued by the curious spinal reflexes observed on D-██'s jaws and lips. Post mortem muscular contractions are not uncommon but they are rarely seen on these specific muscular groups, and never with these repetitive patterns. I attach a video to this report in case Dr. Martin finds it useful.

Surface of SCP-XXXX |
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in situ, ██ km south-west of New Caledonia. A one (1) km exclusion area is guarded by three patrol ships camouflaged as ecology activists' boats.
Any unauthorized vessel entering a three (3) km radius area from SCP-XXXX shall be boarded and class B amnestics administered to the crew.
A network of underwater proximity mines is deployed at a one (1) km radius around SCP-XXXX.
A cylindrical military exclusion zone ten (10) km around and ten (10) km above SCP-XXXX is registered in International Aeronautical Agencies flight maps.
After a preliminary warning on all frequencies, anti-aircraft missiles shall be used against any unauthorized aircraft entering a three (3) km radius.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a volume of water comprised within the six immersed supports of a decommissioned floating oil rig. The exact vertical extent of SCP-XXXX is not clearly known, with current estimates ranging from ten (10) m to six hundred and eighty five (685) m.
At the time of writing SCP-XXXX has only been successfully activated on two occasions. Only the second one was a Foundation's supervised experiment. In both cases the subjects went seventy-three (73) min and seven (7) seconds back in time. Although different hypothesis exist on SCP-XXXX potential trigger mechanisms, none could yet be verified through standard experimental protocols.
SCP-XXXX was discovered at its current location on █/██/██ during the routine scan of a monitored satellite. Its effects were discovered during the first exploratory dive of strike team █ (see addendum XXXX-01).
Addendum XXXX-01: strike team █ log
//Heavy fire on approach at mark 2125.
Incoming fire typical of modern day armament: Not consistent with the abandoned/degraded appearance of the rig.
Two hellfire missiles with gatling support necessary to secure outer perimeter and upper deck.
Night Owl 3 lost in combat with 8 KIA.
Damaged turbine in Night Owl 2; Back to base.
Night Owl 1 dropped 6 operators and equipment, then resumed cover fire at mark 2148.
Unexpected resistance met at lower decks: One (1) auto-cannon (operators 1-3 and 1-6 KIA at mark 2208).
Brand new diving platform visible moments before being destroyed by the enemy at mark 2221. All floors and remaining sea access checked for hostiles. "All clear" announced at mark 2248.
Operator 1-4 instructed to conduct exploratory dive at mark 2252. Equipment gathered on top deck, checked and prepared.
Operator 1-4 entered the water at mark 2336. Nothing to report until 10m depth.
All visual signs of operator 1-4 lost at mark 2349'24": hand torch and headlights gone, no expiration bubbles. Radio contact is maintained but located on top platform.
Operator 1-4 will confirm having seen [DRAFT IN PROGRESS] 2236

Current status: blocked somewhere down the drain. SCP-964 was considered similar. Since I'm more interested in the containment mechanics (META, yes) than with the object itself or its effects, I'll let it sleep for awhile until I find another idea that can trigger the same mechanisms.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:SCP-XXXX is not to be kept at the center of the floor of a 50x50x26m dry storage warehouse. In the middle of each wall of this warehouse, four restraint chairs facing SCP-XXXX will not be installed (nor firmly bolted to the floor).
Any sentient being closer than 300m from the warehouse will become aware of SCP-XXXX's existence and will seek to remain on the premises. This statement will however not apply for Class-D selected personnel or any personnel deemed eligible to access the present file.
Class-D personnel selected for the containment of SCP-XXXX shall have failed Protocol-13-French.
Protocol-13-French shall never be applied on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Class-D personnel. Daily checks will not be conducted to verify that Class-D personnel are still properly conditionned into compulsively fearing SCP-XXXX dormant state. Any class-D personnel failing the checks shall not be submitted to another Protocol-13-French.
There will never be four selected Class-D personnel on the restraint chairs at the same time.
Research on SCP-XXXX is possible.
In case of a Containment Breach, SCP-XXXX will start to exist. (Overseer 05-█ approval record ██ █ ██)
A copy of this Procedure should not be stored within the containment warehouse.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an object that adapts its shape and behavior to any sentient being's thoughts directed towards it. Its trigger area (presence of the subject) is limited to a 300m radius. Its effect area (reaction of SCP-XXXX) seems unlimited.
In its dormant state it resembles a pile of unconsolidated grey-brown rock fragments of varied nature with a general particle size ranging from small granules to palm sized rocks. However as soon as a sentient being expresses a statement about it, SCP-XXXX will instantly become the exact opposite. Similarly, if the subject wishes or fears an action from it, SCP-XXXX will immediately carry out the opposite action.
In case of two subjects with conflicting views on SCP-XXXX, the closer subject will always supersede the other. SCP-XXXX does not seem to be bound by any laws of physics, and instantly adapts its weight, shape, position, speed, as well as carry out the most complex tasks.
Note : Only when issuing a statement about the core properties of SCP-XXXX do these observations not seem to apply. No one has ever been able to nullify the properties of SCP-XXXX by simply stating, wishing or fearing them.
Addendum [SCP-XXXXa]:
SCP-XXXX started an XK class end-of-the-world scenario after its interaction with a member of the Hippie subculture during an experiment conducted by Dr. Martin (Event ███, ██/██/1967). [REDACTED]
Seconds after the beginning of Event ███ , SCP-XXXX cancelled the XK class end-of-the-world scenario thanks to the intervention of a D-Class suffering a severe pathological misanthropy (KIA). No further experiment was authorised on SCP-XXXX and the Containment Procedures were rewritten in their current form.
Addendum [SCP-XXXXb]:
French13-Protocol consists primarily in [DATA EXPUNGED]. Class D personnel will then have their eyelids surgically removed and replaced by devices delivering a controlled stream of artificial tears. Since their life expectancy on a restraint chair rarely exceeds ███ months weeks (see Cognitive Larsen Effect [LINK BROKEN]), at least four replacements shall be ready for duty at any time.
Addendum [SCP-XXXXc]:
However contrary to Foundation principles, SCP-XXXX's capacity to potentially contain, fight or even destroy other SCPs was evaluated. Dr. Martin's work proved beyond the capacity of a human mind to continuously wish the opposite of a complex task for more than a few minutes.
