Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in the form of three 20 kilogram blocks, immersed in water within a modified storage container in Site 55. SCP-XXXX is not to come in contact with bare skin under any circumstances; in the event of accidental contact, the affected area is to be amputated immediately and dissolved in a mixture of 2 parts molasses and 1 part water.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be subdued with high-pressure water hoses. After the instance is immobilized, they are to be transported to Site 55 to be immediately melted down or dissolved; instances should remain exposed to water for as much time as possible.

The total quantity of SCP-XXXX on-hand at any time is not to exceed 70 kilograms. If this quantity is exceeded, surplus amounts of SCP-XXXX are to be immersed in a mixture of 2 parts molasses to 1 part water for a period of 56 hours minimum until they are fully dissolved.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a translucent, highly adhesive metallic substance composed of several known and unknown metals1. SCP-XXXX has a melting point of approximately 2500 K and displays material properties, such as malleability and ductility comparable to that of lead. SCP-XXXX has a density of 3.11 g/cm3. SCP-XXXX is capable of limited movement in a similar fashion to that of a slug; its maximum speed has not been observed to exceed 0.009 meters per second.

When SCP-XXXX comes into contact with the skin of a mammal, it will immediately convert the epidermis of the contact area into more SCP-XXXX; at this point it is known as an instance of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX will spread throughout the body at a rate of approximately 2 square meters per day, both externally and internally. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 display highly increased aversion to human contact and will attempt to move as far as possible from human civilization; they will

Water nullifies SCP-XXXX’s ability to move as well as its adhesive properties. Additionally, SCP-XXXX displays rapid corrosion when exposed to molasses; a 5 kilogram block will be reduced to nothing in approximately 48 hours of exposure to a 2 parts molasses to 1 part water mixture.
